Gonna give that recipie a go there Wokka. Heres my very first effort with the stuff you get in the kit. Didn't taste too bad for an ale:

I used to brew an ale and a mead, all done as historically accurate as possible for the 12th century. It was done without a brewing kit that you could get commercially (since they didn't have kits like that in the 12th C).
Now I just partake of various time periods of alkamahol when I'm at reenactment events. With everything else going on in my life, my hobby (ok lifestyle choice) is on the backburner for this year and the next. Am contemplating getting back into the brewing when we've bought our house.
