transmission question

hi fellas,
sometime ago someone posted a thread ( searched, could'nt find ) saying that dextron 111 oil was left in their tranny instead of t95le oil after a serviceing. I want to get my tranny completely serviced ( flushing etc ) on my au1 but am worried about dextron being left in. I suppose to be sure I should put it into ford, but they are priced much higher than repco for the same thing. Anyway, can anyone tell me what, if anything, would happen to my tranny if dextron is left in?

mate go to a REAL transmission specialist
they can actually tell you if its starting to die etc
rather than pump the wrong stuff in and kill ur baby

if you tell us where in aus you are located then im sure there is a tranny specialist around your area that we know of

I'm not having any problems with the tranny, this is just a routine servicing, but you are right, perhaps I should go to a good transmission shop to be sure. I'm living northside Brisbane if anyone knows a good tranny shop.

I'd be interested to hear of any good tranny specialists in Brissy too if anyone knows of any, I dunno when mine was last touched since I've only had it a couple of months, thought I'd better look after it and hopefully it'll look after me in return. I was just gonna go to For Serv, found them in the Yellow Pages and they reckon they're Ford specialists. Can't be any worse than Auto Leaders. Not that they were bad, but generic mechanics seem to be all the same.

ah Burpengary transmissions are the best tranny joint on the north side.

they built the trans for that twin turbo vh ( think it was vh ) Pumping out 800 hp.
