Well it takes me 7.5 hours to Lismore with a couple of stops. Isnt Brisbane about 2.5 hours from Lismore?

If I had to guestimate I'd say 10 hours.

Watch all the e Box Cameras and the cops sitting between the 100 down to 70 signs.

Along Coffs Harbour too.

But its a painfull drive now along the coast.

Check www.rta.com.au for roadworks.

Inland takes abit longer but i enjoy it more

I do 6.5 with a 40min break from Thornlands to Port Macquarie. Newcastle is another 2.5 on top so add another break at least and 10 is about right any holdups and its 11.Of course it depends on a lot of things but thats about it.
Theres about 10 speed cameras between here and there and most face south but all are well signposted so if you miss one you are a dill. A couple around Byron aren,t working at the moment because of roadworks but the signs are covered. Only 1 from here to Newy facing north. Theres a couple in 60 zones just out of 100 zones (Woodburn,Urunga) I use a couple of roads to Bypass Ballina and Grafton, pretty easy so Pm me and I'll get them for you. Roadworks around Forster are 80ks which is better than roadworks used to be at 60. Have a safe trip.

I have done this trip several times Brisbane to Newcastle and Sunshine Coast to Gosford. You wont do it in 9, no way, if you get a good run 10 hours, 11 if it is a roughish run.

Just take it easy and remember to get fuel at about Ballina or Karuah its too expensive otherwise.

Coffs Harbour is a bastard and the roadworks around Foster can be a pain, but it isnt too bad.

yeah as said, watch cameras around coffs harbour, theres just north *although it only gets northbound traffic* and theres about 5 south of coffs. they would rather take photos than fix that stupid road

I recently did it a shade under 10hrs from Willowbank to Maitland down the New England Highway. Speed camera's are only at the small towns (NSW end) and are well signposted before you hit them. It's also fairly quiet traffic wise.
