Grrrrrrrr....what a scumbag.
My mechanic was like that before I met the Alted Group of Companies.

My car wasn't allowed to leave the yard until the work had been paid for and yet they used to call me and say that this was broke and fix that and that needs replacing.

Like Hoon69 (but not through the Alted experience) I was rorted so there are some really dodgey workmanship going around and people doing things that they ain't suppose to be doin. That's why I moved to the Alted Performance Group. I heard bout them through the other forum that I frequent and heard good reports about em. No offence Hoon but I think after they finally got their act together they approved service ten times ova.

I dun mind paying upfront for work that I know will be 100% and improve my drivin experience. Not giving them a boost or nuffin like that but mate ... you gotta watch for these traps and I'm sure as one had learned my lesson before movin up to Brisvegas. I'm sure Hoon can understand the experience too. Hence why I'm kinda defending the new owners. It ain't a good thing to talk about the past but each to their own I rekon.

Hoon69: Is that your ride now mate? What ya using to get around town these days?

different strokes with different blokes i guess

for what i know alted aka au2low as well on ffau *here* has been active on here as late as 6.30pm tonight
im all for water under the bridge but i was clearly just trying to make a point that i've had woes with this build up and im always gunna mention whom did the work and whom did what etc i knew others whom of late have had run ins with ALTED,not altedperformance as a company in other states etc, though antony started the whole altedperformance thing and still states his the business guy etc of qld. so thats always gunna become a debate.

that ghia is my ride around town fuel leak and all hence why its parked up and awaiting a fuel pump and someone to help me fix the filters wiring on thermo's and timing etc

once thats done its refit bigger tyres and hit the track im hoping to be out there on he 27th of this month with the other e series guys
*crosses fingers*

I know of Alted's past experiences ... but only OF Alted's past experiences but I was still willing to give it a stab in the dark mate.

Shame about what happened to your car n'all but the Alted Group in QLD did my car and I'm happy with their work. Dunno what happened to you though. Sorry mate.

Just to let you know what kinda car I've got, it's a Heritage Green EF XR6 with a ported and polished head, (fantastic work) stage 1 cam, alted extractors and rebuilt 3.89 4 pinon LSD (nice and tight like a virgin) ... will post pics up later if you're interested

I suppose there's good n bad stories to every workshop sounds like you weren't happy. But each to their own mate, each to their own.

They stuffed my tip too and it sticks out like that. I hate it. I'm just going to dump it before the rear bar one day.

OK, thought I'd jump in.

There are always two sides to every story, and I don't know what happened to HOON69, but I've had work done there too and I'm happy with the results.

I was the one who had the AU motor conversion done. And 3 belt setup wtf, no we used the serpentine belt. As for the leads, I put them like that (3x2) because that's how I like them.
Also had LSD put in.

All is working well.

your right mate you've had good work done to yours but you were there to over see it and you never lost eye sight to whats being done etc

my wiring loom is now screwed and my electrics dont work and last person to touch all that is *drum roll plz* ALTED

im now selling the car in parts trying to make something from my mistake(taking it to alted and trusting him with it for 4-5months)

same with striker from fastfords same with DrE and cameron and others
lets not forget alted does cams but does em interstate and as your apart of his team im sure i know where and whom shared this with you,but on topic
its not alted affiliates im blaming im solely placing it on the man himself not jaysen from rpd sydney etc just alted himself,he had our cars for months after saying it'd take weeks, scammed a few grand from us and gave us back stocko's in return we funded that heap he calls a xr6
ed classic aka ea aka eb aka ef aka half of our gear from our hard earned cash.

meh im over it and his getting whats coming and hopefully i get enough parts sold to make something from this nightmare.

Bad luck Hoon mate, nothing ****es me off more when shotty "mechanics" attempt work on other people's car. Being a mechanic isnt as easy as he thaught.

I hope centre link and work cover do have a field day, after all; its our tax money he is playing with.

Anyway, good luck mate - enjoy the new project tho!

shell will be picked up on friday , all the parts from my EA will be going into this shell once i repair some panel work, making room for all my fairmont ghia parts from my EB to go into my white shell, my EB is no good due to antony's (alted performance) dodgy work.. he is costing everyone ALOT of money
