Hi people,
I have had enough of current management at work. I worked ridiculous shifts before exams, so I could get a month off. Now they won't let me have the weekened off so I can study for my monday exam. I have decided that I am going to start looking for new work. Does anyone here work in optus, vodafone, 3 or telstra shops. I just want to know: what are the hours required like? is is commission based? is it a good enjoyable job? If I think of anything else I will also ask. Thankyou all in advance. Bill |

Hey Bill,
I work in a Telstra Shop, The hours depend on if you are full time or part time, and, like in my case, a trainee who has a set amount of hours i must work a week. It is not a commission based job, but the salaries that are offered are quite reasonable. Part time jobs are paid by an hourly wage. I love my job, others who have/do work for us hate it, it depends on the worker i suppose. Hope this has helped, Mk II |

Thanks MKII, just looking for a new job which my effort will be appreciated. Moron bosses at Coles think they are top ****, even when they are running the store into the ground.
Also would prefer a job which doesn't consist of much physical labour, and can work mainly between 11am and 6pm on the weekened. |

Bill,
There is pretty much no physical labour at all, as you would expect, selling phones isn't hard. Your weekend hours aren't bad either, most shops are open saturday 9-5, so your workin hours are 8.30 till 5.30. Sunday working hours are 9.30 till 4.30, not to bad really when you think about it.
