Ooooh ... that's Queanbeyan ... to Braidwood ... to Batemans Bay ... that's only one short leg I used to take on my night time drive's .... great road ... a little scarey in fog around Government Bend though.

Also ... just south of Coffs Harbour ... take the road up the mountain to Dorrigo ... then across from there to Armidale ... very nice.

South Coast ... Macquarie Pass and Kangaroo Valley in clear conditions.

Bells Line of Road up to Lithgow is fun.

Old Hume Hwy from Camden down through Picton and down to Bargo (instead of taking the freeway south ... also Picton Rod down to Wollongong is good ... along with Appin Rd from Campbelltown ... heading to Wollongong.

The entire coast road from Wollongong all the way to the Victorian border is a good drive ... can get really nice down past Bateman's Bay.

Putty Road up to Singleton from Windsor is a great road ... is a common Sports Bike route on weekends.

Also Old Pacific Hwy up the coast from Sydney.

In Victoria ... the Great Ocean Rd was a top road to drive ... have only done it once ... would love to drive it again.

in QLD ... head up the Glasshouse Mountains and up to Montville and Maleny ... some nice roads up there as well.

I prefer the Pacific Hwy up to QLD as well ... much more interesting than the New England Hwy.

These are just a few roads I have driven recently that I can remember ... there are many more though.

Oh I forgot ... from Gosford ... head out to Wisemans Ferry via Somersby ... catch the ferry ... and head back towards Castle Hill ... then turn right and head for Maralya ... then go down to Sackville and catch that ferry ... and it bring you back to Putty Rd and back to Windsor ... you can bypass the ferry and come back down via Riverside Oaks Golf Course and back through Pitt Town as well.

Have just gotten used to these roads as I just moved in near the area ... and I can tell you that these are some great roads .... with surprise corners at night too ... so you need to be on your toes ... decent headlights are needed through these parts at night too (I have that covered )

Galston Gorge is pussyfooting. Try Berowra Waters Rd when a delivery van is coming the other way. Hawkesbury country is terrific like Mechan1k says - though even far better by boat. Not good roads always and dirt up to places like St Albans but stunning scenery and history everywhere. Right under the noses of Sydneysiders and they all jet off to Qld! Why? Coming down to Wisemans at dawn with the walls of the Dharug reflecting in the water like glass and the river stretching away in both directions is one of the great sights of the world - hardly anything approaches it.

Ford Territorys come into their own because you can nip on and off those car ferries at low tide without bending your spoiler and dragging your ****!

Edit: darn, censored again - I mean the opposite end of the car to the front.

Mechan1k my favourite road might be to McGraths Hill if that Ford dealer's good!

I found that in the ute ... although i didn't bottom out ... it was close.

My previous car (Proton Satria) ... took me 10 minutes just to get onto the ferry ... never did that again ... LOL

I've put my au falcon ute through their and its a 6 down through skyline. I know i dont get that rumble like you would in your 8 but havin the car just fall away with the road is atop feelin. :eclipsee_ I think any car through their will get a mad feelin. headin down. Another favourite of mine is woottoon road up near bulladelah in nsw, just off the pacific highway. twists hairpins straights. its unreal. no one uses it anymore. The lakes way near foster, putty, bells line of road, and dorrigo mountain.
basically anything that tests the driving skill and has very little bumps are roads i rate. :
