Yeah, it's good fun, but it's worth the extra money to go straight to kegging, rather than stuffing around with bottles.

ive been homebrewing for couple years now, but make alot more cider then beer now days. and no, it doesnt taste a thing like strongblow, and yes, it has 3 times as much alcohol.

The missus threw in a Cooper's Home Brew Kit in my xmas stocking, due for some brewing soon!

Just need the right materials to keep the temperature constant...wanna get it right 1st time everytime, this is beer we're talking about!

if you want some good advice on homebrew and a few secrets and hints and tips, check out http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com

everything you need, including some good help on cloning your favourite imported commercial brews.

If you want it right first time, best to get the advice before you start. And if you are wanting to buy more equipment, also a good place to ask about so as not to invest in crap you dont need.

I don't home brew - I micro brew! I use the 'U-Brew-It' mob in Geelong. I do about 6 slabs worth of beer at a time, from any of 100 different recipes. I've done Irish Ale, Dutch Lager and am currently sucking down my latest batch, a Mexicana (like Corona) for summer. It's done a bit differently to home brew, but the results are awesome. They filter it when you're due to bottle it, and also gas it up. One day I'd like to set myself up so I can take home the whole 50-odd litre keg home and stick into a refrigerated tap system - got the room, just need to renovate it and kit it out!

I have been brewing beer for years.....I have not used bottles in a looooong time....all my beer is on tap with 3 x 65 ltr kegs....
