Who will go and has anyone seen him in concert before
I saw him 8 years ago with Elton John it would have to be the best concert i have ever seen

I would certainly consider going, But i have spend well over $1000 on tickets to events coming up in the summer, so if its too expensive, i might need to just stand at the door
 I havnt seen him in concert, but i imagine he would be AWESOME in concert!

When I worked at the Sydney Entertainment Centre I was lucky enough to see Billy Joel perform live about 6 times during 2 different tours of Australia.
As a performer he is first class, sounds the same as he does on DVD or video, interacts really well with the audience and has an alright stage show (effects and lights). During one show his drummer put a stick through a drum and it took about 15-20 mins to repair, Joel had the crowd in stitches with his stories and running up and down the ailses with a remote mic. He then played 30 mins longer than normal to make up for the stuffup  Jsmilie: Well worth seeing.....  :

I've seen him once on his own and once with Elton and i plan on seeing him again, i've liked his music ever since i was a kid.

Saw him many years ago in Melbourne. Best concert I have ever seen. Goodbye Saigon with the lights all out and the sound of helicopters, just brilliant. Will go again if I get the chance.

Just for those intereseted. Preferred seating has tickets on sale for Billy joel now. You dont have to wait for the sale date on that website.
www.preferredseating.com.au The prices are a little more than the normal ticket price but they are the best tickets and you get em before the public

Thanks for the site Black XR6, I just purchased 2 x Gold class tickets for $460.
I am now booking a free night at the Novotel for a special evening with the wife. Billy Joel is my favorite singer, its also the first concert I have wanted to go to in the past 10 years.
