Back safe and sound from a track day at Wakefield Park, well with some unwanted hitch hikers in the guise of mud and grass.
Early rain and constant drizzle throughout the day ensured that traction was going to be an issue for some. As you know how good a driver I am (not), {well there were no gutters thank God!}, my only issues were some oversteer, and trying to keep to the correct line. I was expecting hell with the boost. I was waiting for all this extra grunt to be combined with the wet and my poor driving technique to spell Three Sixties. But things were not that bad. I admit that I started off Driving Miss Daisy like, but after a few laps and feeling the end stay in shape, though not tidily, I put the boot in. WOW, WOW and WOW Turbo or Supercharged, who cares..... that feeling of being pushed into the seat is amazing, as is the joy of seeing the other cars who are all over my rear because I cant drive, suddenly fall back as I boost it down the straight. I was luckily enough to co pilot a Typhoon around................. And yes hold onto your hats, I now have a liking for the pfffffffffts. When it comes on boost, you sure know it, but its not a Supercharged 290 James Harrigan, driver in the Lotus Challenge Cup was with us also, and that Exige of his has enormous grip and noise. He threw his car around the Park like it was not a bother, I hope his career kicks off. Folks I think I have found a way to keep those who want track days happy, and it wont cost the club a cent. I will tell all soon. Kindest Regards Paul

We do not have to hire the track. A one off $40 licence, and $90 for the day till your head is dizzy from going around it circles. Details soon to follow. Regards Paul
