Default Modding

Hey, im new to all this owners club thing but i just thought id see some pics and talk to some people with the same car(s) as me. ive got a 1983 Ford Laser GL 1.5 automatic. im currently modding it. ive done minor work to the headlamps and grill, im getting the windows tinted this week and fitting a hood scoop to it. in 4 weeks im getting 16" five spoke wheels etc etc etc. i seem to have little doubts though in my head to whether its worth spending all this money on a old car which i dont know whether it will last me. What do you guys think.

Can i get 16" x 6.5 wheels on it AND have it lowered slightly without out any scrubbing on my wheels arches over speed bumps etc.

Cheers

Edd

Hey buddy. First and foremost KB Lasers can look tops with a few minor body mods, but unless you've got an E5T (1.5L Turbo 5Speed) there's not much point. You're much better of saving your money and going for something better. I went from a KA Laser to KE TX3 and never regretted it.

You *can't* get 16s and lowered with scrubbing. In fact you can't get 16s on anyway. You CAN however get 15's, lowered, and with the lips rolled you can get away with no scrubbing unless you go over some nasty bumps.

Also.. Hood scoops should never be on a car that doesn't come with it stock. People will laugh at you. I would. :P
