Default Speeding fine in Victoria

I hold a W.A. driving licence but was caught speeding in Victoria a couple of weeks ago. I was in a company vehicle of another company so at this stage I've only received a notice of identification.

Can anyone tell me what is the fine and points for 73km/h in a 60 zone and are the points debited on my WA licence. Finally, if they are, are they debited at the Victorian or W.A. level?

not sure about how it will be applied to your licence, but 10+ over is 3 points and 200ish fine..

If you have had no speeding fines in Victoria before or at least lately, write a letter into the "Officer in Charge", Traffic Camera Office. Explain you were the driver in the vehicle caught, you are very sorry and normally drive good, don't speed and have an excellent record. There is a good chance you may just get off.

Send this letter in with the fine. You will then receive a letter stating not to take any action whilst your letter is considered and then if lucky a letter to say discretion has been sued and you wont get fine!!

Good luck :

If you do what Redrum says, they'll probably ask for your driving history for the last 10 years, if its clean they may let you off. So if you send this printout with your letter, it may help your case and save time.
