When another 200,000 LPG converts start filing into the servo to fill up there will need to be dedicated driveways for them and many more LPG pumps, bigger storage bottles the size of a zeppelin. Should revolutionise the local garage! Oh yeah, in Adelaide 100 more trucks lugging the stuff in from interstate since Mobil pulled out of Pt Stanvac.

a very good point max.
its issues like these people seem to forget about. if theoretically lpg conversions increase at a large rate, petrol stations will have to invest in re-furbishments or else people will be waiting in large que's. You would think that the petrol/lpg providers would think of this in time, but then again...

Your right too, I think its caught the oil co's by surprise and will they act in time for the onslaught? Most importantly I hope the LPG conversion industry when run of its feet trying to keep up with their bookings, don't slip up on quality and safety of their installations. |

i believe there are already grants/incentives for service station owners to upgrade their bowsers.
you said that there will have to be more trucks to meet the demand...that means there will be more jobs. thats not a bad thing. |

I wonder how much more diesel will be consumed in delivering the extra LPG? and what impact that will have on diesel prices? And how much oil will be consumed in refitting service stations to increase the number of LPG users you can get through in any given day. Such a rich tapestry....

The price of Diesel varies in comparison to ULP. Sometimes it's high, sometimes it's lower.
But even if LPG sales increase by a significant amount, the lines won't increase that much as these sales will be from all over the place. They won't all decide to go to the same petrol station on the same day at the same time. I think we can all rest easy for a couple more minutes at least. Phew! Thought we were in trouble there! |

He got the ****s and walked off
