With all this talk of petrol prices and the rebate, I was curious to know if there are any quick I6 E-Series on LPG.
I've been contemplating a straight-gas setup but I still haven't decided if it's worth it yet (considering changing cars mid-next year)... And I am aware of the XE with AU engine and turbo running 9s but I think I can assume it's had lots of money thrown at it! Has anyone priced a SVI system on an E-Series? Is there a replacement LPG tank for the traditional petrol tank in an EA-ED sedan? I don't like the idea of losing boot space. Oh, and one other thing - will the fuel gauge on the factory cluster be able to show how full an LPG tank is??

funny.. i was thinking the same thing.. like the look of the gas research setups.. hmmm.. nice..
Ford EA/EB1 Falcon 6cyl, Centrefire, 3sp/4sp Auto $1036.50 Kits include the following : Throttle Body, Convertor, Lock-off valve, Adapter, Electric Primer, Brackets, Gaskets, Linkages, and Closed Loop Processor System and Idle Speed Control System where applicable. sounds good.. and with 2000 cashback works out pretty good.

Cringe, that looks like a neat setup. Is that price just an upgrade for a Falcon on dual-fuel or something? I guess you need to add in a tank and all the other stuff Racecraft mentioned. I also see it's for a CFI but you've got pics of a BBM setup...

So really it'd be the cost of the initial conversion and then another $1k for the pretty stuff?

Quickest E-series on gas I can think of right now would probably be John's car, can't really think of anything quicker on gas.

Just stay with the IMPCO stuff and you will be right .
GRA stuff is good but its hard to find some one that knows how to tune it. XRated yes if you want your gas gauge to work of your dash petrol gauge it is easy to do to "interface" it . a gas conversion is $2090 a.t.m. but we have been told that they will be going up maybe a extra $200 or so. as for aftermarket e.c.us they will do nothing to the gas. EB pete comp ratio can go as high as you can gas likes high compression . as for how quick .. I have not run my down the qtr but is good enough .. |

I wonder if Simon ever ran his EA on gas at the drags? If so, it was probably pretty quick.

That XE is running 9s with an AU motor with a gas research 440 TB and twin converters.
It all seems simple really. :P

Hmm so a mid 15 is all that's needed? It's like the old N/A days! Maybe we'll see a straight-LPG turbo E-Series smash the title?
