Front Swaybar Removal

Guys,
I'm curious if removing the front swaybar will help my car to launch a bit harder. Has anyone noticed any difference in 60ft times with and without swaybar installed?

I have removed my front swaybar on my BA and noticed a little better weight transfer, seem to run alot more consistant without it well the two times I did it I was the most consistant I've ever been and did my best 60ft.

What difference are you hoping it will make? Is it the XA in your avatar? Is it on slicks? What times do you run?
If it is that car the difference probably will not be noticeable. The xa isn't a lightweight as far as racecars go and removing a 3kg bar from the front won't make a big difference.

But try it anyway; it's the only way you find out. If you can get consistent 60 foot times with it fitted then remove it and it runs a different 60 ft time you learnt something. If it drops even .05 seconds off your 60ft you're laughing.

Could you notice that the front of the car raises higher on take off??
im very interested to know because im looking for a bit better weight transfer without spending money. how much did you shave off your 60ft and what were they?

I remeoved mine and fitted a new convertor and went from 1.95 to 1.70. Probably mainly the convertor hepled this, but apparently loosens up the front end to help in transferring weight to the rear. I didn't notice anything in the handling on the street, so the sway bar is gone for good

would you recommend removing the front swaybar on a stock drivetrain BA with 163RWKW? Auto.

Goin Caulder Friday if it doesnt rain.....i know its a good idea, but is it recommended for the "lower" horsepower cars?

I removed my front swaybar last time I was at the track....I am not really traction limited off the line so I didn't notice any real difference.

I tell you what though, (on the AUI at least), it weighs a lot more than 3Kg.

Like xdclevo, I didn't notice any negative affects on street handling, so mine is not going back on either.

it should help with launching... i know brendan mock removed the front sway bar on their eb, and it helped with their 60ft times...

Like xdclevo, I didn't \0\0???\0\0\0\0??\09e affects on street handling, so mine is not going back on either.

Mate my swaybar is a 30mm whiteline bar atleast 15kg and handling on the street aint to crash hot in these heavy boss powered cars front end rolling around everywhere.

Diddnt seem to lift any more than before but just didnt bog down as easly with it on. When on there was a much finer line to getting it right to bogging it (rembering Im a manual).
But honestly mate without spending money your very limited to improving your suspension. Setting up your suspension right can give you some big gains.

Yes it will assist at the drags, but dont try driving on the road without it.

It helps both rear wheels bite better...It's not realy a weight saving thing....
