Default Programming a Remote

I have heard/read(maybe in a previous post) that the remote for an AU11/111/BA et al can be re-programmed for different unlocking functions.
Could someone tell me if it is so? My issue is the remote no longer unlatches the boot. Only way to open the boot at present is via button inside car on dashboard. Maybe something has 'un-programmed' on my remote?????

As far as i know, and have used on my remote is there are two functions. One opens all doors when you press the button, the other setting unlocks only drivers door, to unlock all other doors you need to press it twice..

Maybe there is a solder problem inside your remote..

You'll have to reprogram your remote. The way to do this is to out your key in the ACC position, then press the rear demister button 3 times. You then press all of the buttons on the remote one at a time and your locks will go up and down once, twice, 3 times etc.

Thank you! That's the procedure I now remember reading a long while back...
I'll give it a go.
