it's been terrible lately. Brocky, then Peter Frere doing himself over in a civic type r and now the Hamster in a jetcar. nothing puts the whole 'motorsport is not playtime' theme in your head than all these guys getting banged up or worse. RIP Peter.

Obviously no one wishes this to happen to anyone, sometimes that old saying sh|t happens is true. I too hope it is alright, seems like a pretty genuine guy.

Just goes to show no-one is immune to the risks that cars pose. High speed crashes happen all to often, but its only the 'high-profile' people that bring it to the medias attention.
Hope he pulls through, it would be a shame to have Top Gear running without him, afterall James won't take the mickey out of Jeremy like Richard does

Sky News is reporting Top Gear's Richard Hammond was: "...reportedly driving a jet-powered Vampire car when it overturned. Mr Hammond was said to have been reaching speeds of up to 280mph as the accident happened." http://www.jalopnik.com/cars/news/up...ent-202054.php

I'm a mad Rugby League supporter and believe it is the toughest team sport in the world, but even that doesn't come anywhere near motorsport. The kahunas you must need to take part.
Hell...I'm nervous about the 5 laps I'm getting at Eastern Creek soon in a V8 Supercar..!! |
