Default BA BodyKit Advice

Hey Guys,

I've been a member here for a while now and enjoy reading the posts regularly but I dont post very often so if I have put this in the wrong spot please let me know.

I'am in the process of buying a second hand BA XT Falcon I6, I havent found the car yet but I know what I want. I am looking at getting a stock XT hopefully in Shockwave or Vibe ... but i think I'am going to have to settle for Lightning Strike.
Anyways my question is how can i personalise the car so it looks good but wont cost me too much money.. some of the ideas I was throwing around were:
1. Tint
2. 17 Inch Alloys
3. Bobtail Spoiler ( like the DJR 320 one )

but i was really looking for someone elses opinion ... I dont really want to do any mechanical mods as yet.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks,
6t6m

Hey mate, if you want ideas check out the show'n'shine section of the forums in the BA thread, there should be tones of ideas. If you want to mod the car thentint, wheels and body mods are a must hehe. but thats my opinion. Have a look on AWCINFO.com, they are one of the sponsors to the forums and have a great range of BA kits.

Also in the shed is a 3.9ltr straight six (1990 EA). headers, crow cam, 5spd manual included. may need minor rebuild. Again make offer

Those mods plus an exhaust and some mild lowering will make the car look very nice mate.

why not treat yourself?

go FPV or fairlane/fairmont gear shifter, s/wheel, cluster
go the clock above the ICC or tacho whatever tickles ya
tint, wheels and spoiler
maybe change ICC to upper model.

good luck with it

There is a user on the forums called co8ra, hes got a dark green XT fairmont with either 19 or 20 rims with a BF GT front bar, similar to the tyhpoon kit. Hes just recently put some pics of it on the show us your BA thread.

Hey,

Thanks for some good advice there, I hadnt thought about FPV wheel and shifter so thats something i would seriously consider.
There is always the age old question of whether to put stripes or anything like that on it aswell.

SSV buys some of the kits form AWC (site sponcer) so check them out if your looking at going down this road they should be a little cheaper

That looks awesome! May I ask how much was it fitted and painted? I'm thinking of getting a 'phoon kit a bit further down the track. Do you still have the stock rear bar?

all up....fitted and painted.... pretty exxy ill tell ya! with the driving lights and the driving light covers, the extra modification that is required to suit the XT Headlights.

1150

you will get out of this 450 less if you can paint and fit the bar and hook up the driving lights yourself.

cant beleive auto leccys want 150 to hook up lights :evil3:

So ill be having a crack at them today myself...could be interesting, unless anyone here in sunnycoast or brisn knows anyone that can do it haha

And i still have the stock rear, but before Xmas i plan on doing the Rear, the Skirts, side mouldings, headlight covers, mirrors and possibly a bulge, not sure yet.
