4x4 Hi-rider manual 2.4L TD cab chassis workmate is $46K DA, also no auto option or the bigger 2.8L diesel. So Ford actually offers a better povvo spec work vehicle, that comes in auto about ball park on pricing before ORCs - so there's probably only a couple thousand bucks in it and you're even getting the car sooner and its better. Given they have better availability than the Hilux at the moment on povvo specs surely Ford can move more than the 200 of these that they do at the moment? The only thing they don't offer is bargain basement unleaded job, but with what they have available to our market already I reckon their sales team could snag heaps more 4x2 Hilux sales - you just need to give everyone visibility over them. Ever since this thread started i’m seeing base models more than XLT, Sport and Wildtrak. All white work vehicles.

The $69k was for an XLT Dual Cab (but cab chassis, rather than stylside) V6D so pricing is about right.

Lets just get Maverick and a seven seat escape option to fill out the range.

If true then that is concerning for Ford. They only have one vehicle in the top 20 selling vehicles. Putting eggs in one basket..........

With no factory here to worry about sales to keep it running, there are no concerns at all. Especially with long waiting lists for much of their range. The biggest issue is getting supply to fill orders, not actually getting those orders in the first place. |

Platinum already accounted for in build allocations, so it won’t effect production of Wildtrak etc. If anything, the number of Wildtrak orders being switched to Platinum will probably reduce the Wildtrak waiting list, even more so now that production of v6’s and premium pack parts is increasing. Hopefully that means i will get my Wildtrak sooner. Just got my NSC number today. With platinum coming on line, and another additional model coming, i’m sure the build numbers of XL/XLS will be decreasing at the same rate. Which will better balance the build mix. |

What I find interesting is that people keep mentioning how Ford only really has two vehicles that sell and eggs in one basket etc
What about Isuzu? No one mentions them? What about Honda? Subaru? Nissan?

It’s just a dumb statement to make. There are so many brands that only have a couple of vehicles in their range, and they only sell in the hundreds. But Ford having a vehicle that has been no 1 seller in 2 of the past 3 months, and order books going out to 12 months on a lot of models is somehow a worry. It makes zero sense.

They probably don't need to sell cars when they are the highest selling truck brand in Oz.

Now they are. Isuzu were aligned with General Motor Holden once here which sold the cars alongside the trucks formerly Bedford Isuzu.

Gaso moderating integrity and the Ford brand are closely aligned I fear and thats the issue.
Only appeals to the fan boys. Gaso's got a stick In the absence of a dic.. Last edited by BENT_8; 12-01-2023 at 03:45 PM. |

Not as slow as the Super Moderator that bans someone using a thread they edited and thanked to do so with..lol
I posted a thread advertising AMC magazines without pics ages ago and had Gaso move it to the collectibles section which he then thanked my post in. He then used it to give me enough points for a ban..lol And then just admitted he stuffed up and couldnt even ban me with it...Super Moderator..lol Last edited by BENT_8; 12-01-2023 at 05:05 PM. |
