This is my retired greyhound, Lucy. Who wouldn't want to be a dog? This is how she spent the day yesterday in the scorching heat. We had our aircon cranked and she never moved all day.

Heheh our cats were the same. They'd just flop to the ground (usually cool tiles) buggered and breathing heavily.

For those who have white dogs with a lack of pigment around the eyes, ears, nose and mouth as well as anywhere else (where the skin is pink) try to make sure they don't get too burnt in the sun. Otherwise you will find they will develop skin cancers and may only live 6-10 years.

You can buy a product called filtabac which is a antibacterial sunscreen for your dog, whack some of that on if you find they are constantly out sunbaking them selves or always getting burnt.

I recent pic of my boy, sitting lazily on his ***

Goodness Pyro has grown into a very handsome dog. Here is mine that gets sun burnt, he has pink pigment around one eye and the inside of the lid gets sun burnt. At this time of the year he has to stay inside during the day, where he goes stir crazy. His name is Barney but he is affectionately known as that "ugly little dog"

Here is our other littlely, Elsa a cream Schipperke

And this is how the cats spend their days in the heat,

My son just took some pics of Rex. Now 4 months old and growing up fast. Already had to replace the flyscreen on the sliding door twice as apparently it's good to play tug of war with.

This is pics of Spirit I was trying to get a hold of earlier.
He's a pure bred Arabian Gelding ... some pics from training.
No I am not in the pics ... Bec was getting some advice and training pointers from one of the handlers/trainers from Mulawa Arabians (where she bought him from a few years back)

These pics are about 18 months old now.

Also pics from Amira ... she's a Anglo Arabian Filly ... she will be 2 later this year
She's currently for sale at the moment though ... Bec has to many horses ... hee hee
We have currently have a Pure Bred Arabian Colt foal that was born at the start of December last year ... and will be using him for training and showing this year.

Here are the pics of Amira (Anglo Arabian is a cross between Thoroughbred and Arabian if anyone is interested).

Jack Russells are cute as pups .. but destructive though.
Bec's Jack is nearly 4 now and is still a mental case ... used to rip your socks off your feet when he was a little puppy. Also loves to wrestle .. hence the name Sumo ... plus he's 14 kilo of muscle as well ... so it's not small either ... LOL

That for sure, his destoryed a few tennis balls, numerous clothes pugs, cash spongs (lost two already) and the chamsis has heaps of holes in it.
We have just got him out of biting (was playing with him) and my sisters cat hasn't looked as fit in years.

My birthday present

He's meant to be a Fox Terrier, but I think he's closer to a Jack Russel. Anyway, here's Ranger.....

Being cheeky watching TV. He just loves human company.

Well this is the King of our "adopted" pets, a family of around 11 or 12 Australian water dragons that behind our place in and around the creek. (Yes, suburban Hornsby can you believe it!). Over the past couple of months I have got him to the stage of eating out of my hand every so often!

We have named him Jubjub, as any decent Simpsons fan would.

... and here he is, having a good go at a cheese'n'bacon ball (a rare treat, they normally get soft and out-of-date fruit!)

The two cats. Zoe is the fat ball of fluff on the left. Had her for about 6 years after she decided to rock up in the front garden one day. On the right is the new cat, 8 month old Scottish Fold. As any decent Aussie would I'm calling him Chopper. Mum doesn't like that idea (it's her cat) but whatever!

Don't see many Scottish Folds around ... another favourite of mine are the British Shorthair.

Bec's brother has 2 cats ... no idea on breed though ... one black/charcoal long hair (Webley) who drool when you given him attention ... strange cat ... and a short-hair bacl and white cat ... Huge thing ... fairly skinny though ... who loves to hunt (brings in wild rabbits and lizards larger than himself ... also loves frogs and mice too).

They enjoy hiding in the garden and pouncing on you when walking past (scare the ИИИИ out of you at night when putting the bins out ... LOL)

Rob, we have a British Fold, but the fat mofo is a defect - the ears aren't folded hahah so the breeder didn't want to know it and sold it for a veddy goot price! She's such a scaredy cat (excuse the pun :P).

Here's a fairly recent pic of the Colt.
He's now 5 months old ... although I just found this pic on my phone from a month ago ... he's a lot bigger again.

He has just been weened from the mare ... so he's being naughty ... and a real handful as Colts usually are.
