Got an email from Ford on Tuesday saying that mine was in the process of being built! Can't wait.

Obtained my NSC from Dealer.
Ford Australia then supplied my VIN.
Looked it up in Ford Etis and found that its already built:

I went and rechecked my email, it has a VIN listed. I'll put it into ETIS site, thanks for the info. Mine was built on the 21st Feb.

Yep........ anywhere from May 2016 to Jan 2017 !

Have you got a VIN number yet ? You can then check whether the car is built on Ford Etis.

Ford AUS have advised me that my car is due early May for delivery mid-May.

Bearing in mind that my car was built 22/2. Later builds obviously won't be on the first shipment.

I'm a customs broker so I deal with shipping every day.
I've got a pretty good idea which vessel my car will be on, but cant confirm it yet. My car would need to leave the export port by the end of this week to arrive Sydney in the first week of May.
I'll advise a way for everyone to check once I can confirm the vessel/shipping line details.

I received an email today from my local dealer stating:

This is a short email to advise you that your RS Focus is in the final stages of production.

Shortly it will go to the dock and board a boat.

It’s on the water for 5 weeks so we would expect a delivery in the first half of May.

Excellent, congrats Byrrul - and thanks Cheech. No VIN here yet, so looks like I may not be one of the lucky early birds at this stage. Chasing dealer monthly - to avoid getting an AVO

If you can get the NSC number from your dealer you can then contact Ford Aus, who can advise if a VIN exists yet. VIN's only get allocated a week or so before the build. If you do happen to get a VIN then you can check Ford Etis to see if its built yet.

I have a VIN, it was built on the 21st Feb, seems a long time for it to be "in the final stages of production"!

After looking at some of the development testing video's these things are going to be insane, hardest part will be keeping it off 3 wheels.

Might have to work on convincing mum that her XV is for old people :evil
Still remember the Liberty RS turbo we had 20 years ago, lived on a dirt road man that was a fun car

Oh I see. Well in that case you definitely won't be allowed to drive the RS when she gets one.

I placed an order for mine on 5/3/16 for nitrous blue with wheel package and was told that alocation was sold out and that they will try and get another one extra alocated to get it sooner than 2017. will see what arives 1st Mustang or RS

Can anyone please help?
We placed the order for a black RS (std Rims) late November and the dealer seems to be giving us the run-around. They can't supply the NSC number for the vehicle. Only saying the we missed the first shipment, but is on the next shipment. I am getting a bit concerned with these developments?
Anyone have any idea when the 'second' shipment is due in the country, considering the first shipment is atleast a month away?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest the second shipment is due some time after the first shipment. I hope this clears it up for you.

March to June allocation 1, probably late may early June I would expect allocation two to be processed via ford to dealers, but they gave forward notice of what was coming to each dealer,just no stock numbers for second allocation for 2016.

Word on the UK fb pages there is a recall already. Regarding an overheating of either engine or diff. Recall suggests engine issue others are saying it's diff. Feb to march builds on the recall list. I have a pic of the recall notice sent from Ford that was posted up.

I would still buy the Merc if I was looking at these type of cars for myself, but totally agree with their choice.

Cant wait to start seeing RS`s on the road in Australia.

Seems mine is on that shipment, bound for Port Kembla, but we will be in Sardinia for the WRC at about the time it arrives
