So what you are saying is that if TGUK did the same mower segment without a catcher, then you would have approved?

Don't think too hard about it mate.

I'll take back what I said in the second paragraph in my last post. Suppose I should have thought about it before I posed. If the UK did the same it also would've left me wondering. I still don't mind the Australian Top Gear though, there's an incredible amount of negativity on this thread but I will still watch the rest of this season to see if they'll improve.

That's not how you build a car mower - this is how you build a car mower (sorry, couldn't find an english version)

That, and Steve removed the window between the canopy and the cab, so it couldn't be shut.

could have takin the bit of piping that bends around into the canopy and just have it fly up everywhere. now that would have been cool

I'm just over the scripted "arguments" between the hosts and how on every single challenge they try to sabotage each other. geez, didnt see that coming......

Hmmm i think you hit the nail on the head there, Although im sure the UKTG is scripted down to the last fart, it looks natural and unscripted. ATG doesnt. u can tell it's scripted like bad acting or over acting.

Flappist, they already have run the FG xt around the track as with a VE ohnoemega.

Comparing the first season of this show to top gear UK's first one is like comparing an XF now with a E39 BMW.
give it time..

He removed the cabin glass not the canopy glass. The canopy glass was a slider... This I noticed.

I would have shut the sliders.. maybe he did after he noticed a bit coming in haha... that motor needed a shroud too. good concept maybe use something a bit smaller that can do handbrake turns...

We last night was the first chance I got to sit down and watch last mondays show. I haven't read the whole thread word for word, so apologies if some of my comments may have been done to death.

I agree with the sentiment that the challenges are struggling a little, I kept asking myself why during the lawnmower bit. But, then again, I suppose its not like they are taking them selves too seriously so I won't either. They are not taking them selves seriously right!?

I enjoyed the 270Z story, well crafted. I must say James is a natural and I can related to him even though I don't have a musical bone in my body. I thought the 7 beats verses four beats bit about the ford add was delivered quite well.

I wish that they would go and do a test on an FPV GT (or F6) in the same vein as the one he did on the 270Z. You know, take it for a good drive, talk about the car and its features then finish off with a stint at the track. I think Ford and Holden tests always get overshadowed by the rivalry of the two brands, almost like the presenters miss the point, which is a shame because the products are world class in their own right.

hmmm thats odd, fifth gear and top gear uk dont usually run at the same time. Normally, 1 ends its season and the other begins so as not to compete coz they are both owned by clarkson (or he has something to do with both) Top gear was basically a spinoff from fifth gear.

odd that they are running together this year, fifth gear just aired its second episode.

Not that big a fifth gear fan but I force myself to watch it. First 2 eps this series weren't that bad. I did feel sorry for Stirling Moss in the Ferrari tho, I thought he was going to have a heart attack!

I really enjoyed this weeks episode. Next weeks looks awsome, is it really the last episode of the season? I really wanted to see an FPV FG on the track...

If you watch a few of them you can pick it up. The Commo wagon ones were sped up.

Tonight's ep wasn't too bad, seemed to move along reasonably well, I am gonna be really peeved if ol' facial hair hasn't got one good word to say about the HO, lets just the review had better make up for a clearly FORD deprived season, incase anyone in TV land hasn't noticed FORD are struggling just as much as holden at the moment but no one seems to notice. ah rant over!
