Partially named after a deceased F1 driver. The company was founded by a sportman who was a fair player of a type of football and the car also bears his name.

No; not Lola or McLaren but the company also had a F1 team from the 70's up to the late 90's.

Yes Ligier JS2. The current Ligier IXO car is made in a very high tech way but it's so much less exciting or interesting.
