Stole the idea from the R5 Concept vehicle. As did Holden with the Crewman.

I reckon if it were a bit more factory looking it'd be kinda ok.
The rubbish wheels/paint/tail lights and bonnet ruin it.
But you cant fix the door set up on it

I had an offer to buy back my XR6 with 1200rwhp last month, not quite to the OP's standard but food for thought none the less...

NEWSFLASH : It was written off at QR just recently by the NEW owner.

Dunno if this one's been posted before, but here is a fever dream for under 40K:

https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/moff...ire/1287624274

big money spent, the discerning may see AU underpinnings

and for those really big nights, it's great to know it can double as both a limousine AND a hearse.

First on my list for a $40k used car would be an XR6 Turbo Ute. I want one without mods, automatic, not in white or black, preferably with leather trim. That spec is so hard to find in nice condition, especially at $40K. These are as close as I could get at the moment -

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...0758103/?Cr=34
https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...20927822/?Cr=9

Otherwise, a XR6 Turbo sedan or G6E Turbo would be next choice. Again, auto, not white or black and unmodified.

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...183038/?Cr=101
https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...879983/?Cr=104

I also spotted this delightful looking XM Falcon Deluxe while browsing. At the complete other end of the Falcon spectrum, I love the petite styling and the red interior of this example.

I'm staunchly anti-VAG

But tell you what these things are cheap for one in good condition, a car that every old post menopause woman at IGA is going to go out of her way to come up to you and call your car 'cute'

There's a couple of cars that transcend 'car enthusiasts' and attract attention from certain demographics, 1970s/1980s F series/Bronco for male retired tradesman boomers and 1960s/1970s VW Beetle for boomer women

I love 1980s Broncos, if I was a bazillionaire I'd rock one as the daily, but with the 7.3L Godzilla and a 10sp auto, but still have it look original on the outside and still column shift.

Shoulda bought Bitcoin with one of my paychecks like 13 years ago

I wouldn't pay $6K for it, but for this hypothetical, sure lets pay $6000 for it.
