Congrats on the sale, and I'm sure you must have got the money you wanted, because you said you wouldn't let it go unless you did. So I guess the new owner will be keen to get it on the road as you had already done most of the hard work. Hopefully we'll see it again, was it a QLDer that bouigt it?

im not sure how you go about your coupe on the list. do you copy paste it? anyway add Homegrown. XB falcon coupe.
[IMG][/IMG]

also the theory with the interior.
rear sedan fits in a coupe. it may be a bit bigger but you squeeze it in there.
the previous owner had fairlane seats because he was a small fella he put the big lounge in there. i couldn't find coupe gear so i replaced it with sedan seats because i kept hitting my head on the roof. i finally found coupe front seats tho so they flip forward but the rear is still from a sedan.

Cheers mate. Yes, in the end I got a few k under my full asking price, and got to keep a few of the expensive parts like my fully reco top loader and all the manual bits etc, my globes and all the spare xtra stuff I have aquired over the years.
Not a bad effort considering the market is in pretty bad shape. But its the old story, good cars are still selling for good money.

In the end I had 2 very serious buyers for the car, both buying at the same amount. One was only delayed because he was waiting on selling one of his cars, and the other one is extremely keen, he whacked a deposit down straight away to show his commitment, and the car will be his by the end of next week.

Both buyers recognised the cars attributes beyond the monetary value of the asking price.

Lots of other potential buyers were all barking about the ask price for a car in bits and had no clue what this work costs, and had no clue what they missed out on. None of them got a look in, and some of them were told to p!$$ off by me because of their attitudes. I also wouldnt have sold my car to someone I didnt like, or wasnt a full on entheusiast.

The car is going to Southern NSW. The new owner hopes to finish it by the end of next year. He still has plenty of work to do, and lots of sorting out etc, but the hard n ugly stuff is done, so its all good.
He is happy, I am happy. Now I can move onto another car without needeng the hassle of doing any more resto work....

Cheers,
Donny

Hi all, I just picked up an XD rear seat for nothing to see whether it would go in to my XB Coupe. The back upright part goes in with a squeeze but fit's OK. The bottom seat bit fits in perfectly.

I'll just cut 25mm off each side or the back part before it's re-upholstered and it will be tops.

Won't have to pay upwards of $200 for a Coupe one either, that also needs re-upholstering
