Actually I'm not sure there is much option on profile for road tyres is there, I haven't looked.
So maybe 17x11 rear and 17x9 fronts?
By the way, you can buy the coupe, it's going on the market very shortly
Different wheels (Simmons and Torque Thrusts) left to right, any reason?

G'day Unc

"Different wheels (Simmons and Torque Thrusts) left to right, any reason?"

Well I just had the wheels polished and had the car on stands doing some stuff underneath so I thought I would dress a side each with the wheels to take some current photo's, it was a lot easier to do that at the time than later, guess it was the lazy way out. I certainly wouldn't be taking it to the Island like that tho!!

Sounds like a good idea. Would love to see the car thundering down the straight at Phillip Island some day. But you say you're selling the car???

"But you say you're selling the car???"

Yes unfortunately and to be quite honest I probably haven't got the nads any more to drive it the way it should be and someone can now really get the best out of it. After spending the time building it, my dad and I had a really good time with it, he was still punting around Winton on his 74th birthday!!

Pat, unfortunately that's the reason the cars are going, both my boys are in the states at college, they have both been in the passengers seat but not driven it and my 19 year old was only 8 when we built it and was the pit manager and chief TA, he loved it, yeah good times. I hope you have as much fun as you can with your lads, they are memories forever.

Well i keep reminiscing about the old days when i owned my 2 coupes, both at the same time. Unfortunately i don't have too many of the XB.
Enjoy, more to follow.

Apologies if the quality is'nt up to scratch- no digital cameras back in the 80's

Gees Dave. At those prices i'd be wanting a commission. Call the number and ask if they have the original proofs and the owners consent, if not leave a calling card in his driveway!

Cheeky sods! I just joined that site too- does the photographer actually own the rights to those pics or only to publish for the original article? He should give you a freebie at the very least!

Photos belong to the bloke who is selling them. When pics are taken for a mag (Street Fords) you have to sign a consent saying that they own the pics they take and do what they want with them. If I asked I am sure I would get a discount because he has asked to take more pics when I finish it ....... Might have to get one for the Pool Room!

When you coming down Jamie ..... hanging to take you for a squirt around the block!!

Thought that might be the case......take solice in the fact that if it wasn't for your absoloutely outstanding machine, that pic would be worth nothing!
