This will be short lived. Same knee-jerk reaction that happened after the Brexit vote. Give it a few weeks, people will realise it's not that big a deal and the world will get back to spinning as it had before. Keep in mind there has been a huge build up to this election and the response would have been dramatic either way. Let the dust settle, people will see Trumps impact will actually be minimal.

Watching the victory speech now...at least he sounds somewhat subdued...probably in shock over winning. He mentions good relationships with allies, not sure if that's good or bad.

Perhaps the younger generation will start to take a bit more notice now that the end of the world is officially under way. I'm glad I was born in the 60's and have had great opportunity's along the way. This generation has its work cut out, thats for sure and I don't believe millionaires (trump & turnball) should be public servants. They are completely out of touch.

Yep, and the butt hurt progressive liberals have the mental age to match as well.

If anyone is brain dead enough to ask how this happened. Take a look at MSM. This pond scum headline from a scum journo at the most popular NZ news site which I screen shot a few minutes ago. I guess the first rule of journalism goes out the door when liberal tears start flowing. Daily articles and headlines similar to this being shoved in normal people's faces will have them rooting for the under dog.

Not sure about that.

He has publically stated that NATO is a waste of US money and will pull the US out of it. The Europeans will then be just toothless tigers. U.S. funding for the terrorist groups in Syria will, I imagine stop, a few days after his inauguration. He has stated that he would like to Cooperate with Russia and end the Syrian civil war / chaos. Just imagine the US and Russia on the same side !

Russia would never have accepted a Clinton No Fly zone over Syria. The first bullet or missile that was fired at a Russian plane would have met the obvious response.

The younger generation ( and left wing journalists ) seem to forget ( not know ), that Russia has just as many nuclear weapons as the USA, and a better conventional ground defense forces.

What's the book on these 3 options...

1: In 4 years Trump gets bounced out by ANY candidate put up against him because he's screwed everything up. The campaign slogan will be "We told you so"

2: Trump gets it right and wins a second term by a landslide.

3: He gets assassinated before year 2.

Loving this! I get home from work and turn on the TV on ABC 24, and they're all in somber mood, almost mourning Suck the big one you pathetic excuse for a 'News' channel. It's the main reason i wanted Trump to win, to shut the disgraceful, biased leftist media right up.

Let's see what he does now, look forward to foreign policy calls from him. Hopefully he'll stay alive until term 2 elections

I look forward to better relationship with Russia.

Hopefully less building up weapons close to their borders and them not moving nuclear weapons around and evacuating 40M civilians as practices.

Your are reading too many leftist blogs.

The Israelis, Assad's neighbours never complained about him ! They had no issues with him. They would rather see peace in Syria with him in control. He may or may not be a nasty piece of business, but there was stability in the region ( before the EU and Obama ) decided he must go, and started this civil war. Just look at the chaos now ! And the chaos in Libya !

Stability of injustice is just a house of cards waiting to fall as happened in libya syria ect allowing the subjugation of a people for your own security is not only immoral and goes against every value this country apparently holds its also pointless as the people will rise up as for Israeli if not for the meddling eu as you call it or Britain they wouldn't even be there in the first place.

Homer Simpson could have won this election. Trump was voted in because the people are sick and tired of the lies, the corruption and general BS from the incumbents. The people expect him to get the snouts out of the public trough, get out of all the wars they are currently fighting where they have no business being involved, he will stop funding ISIS and other so called moderate rebels, and get their own house in order and Americans working again he is against all this free trade BS. I would suggest he will start with an all out enquiry on Hillary and her emails and get to the bottom of the Clinton Foundation and their funding sources etc... I think she would be feeling the burn soon after he takes office something about revenge best served cold.
The people have spoken I hope he is what they need him to be.
