I really enjoyed tonights show it was great they have come a long way already in my opinion, I sat back enjoyed it, got some laughs and didn't find myself passing judgment while I watched as I had in the past. Good work guys, they are clearly relaxing more into their roles with each episode.

Black Stig got sacked because HE let it out of the bag who he was. Wrote about it in a book or magazine column.

And NO, the Stig is not Schumacher.

Schumacher was a GEE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What part of sarcasm do people not understand?

I'm going to watch the HO segment next week, but the feeling I get from tonight's preview is that steve will bag it and tell us how far we have come in 38 years.

Pfffffffffttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Just watched the "attraction in the car" bit at the beginning, not a bad little idea, interesting. Too bad they couldn't put any of those blokes in a GT or R8 type of vehicle. But then again we don't want to be seen as bogans now do we! Couldn't have that now could we.

Watching that segment anyone would think that Australian cars (particularly Fords) was something this country stopped doing in the seventies...... sorry couldn't help myself. rant off!

I'm off to watch the rest of the show...... with no more rants.

It was a very good ep by their standards, I don't recall cringing at all.

Isnt next week the final in this series? It would be quite funny if they are just starting to hit their straps now.

Bring on the HO.

I was most impressed with the "Attractive car test". For a short time I was rather confused by the results until I realised that the survey was done in Sydney.

It does go a long way towards explaining the Sydney's western suburbs and the mardi gras......

Not a bad episode last night. Can't wait for the GT-HO next week. But I'm beginning to wonder if Steve's ever been out on the road before they made him presenter on Top Gear Australia, he called that truck massive and it only had one trailer. You see plenty of them around here in the city, go out to Longreach and the highways are full of road trains with 3 carriages and they even get longer further west too. But at the end of that segment when they delivered the mail to the roadhouse, it showed a dog running after them and then you hear a scream. hahaha!

I think its now a great show, left me wanting more thats for sure, especially the 4wd segment. Not bad, only took them 1 season to get entertaining, good by any means.

The trumpet man and that screaming little runt with the beard still drive me up the wall-but parts of the show are watchable now. That minnie clip at the end of Stig at the end throwing the GT around the track sideways was classic-looking forward to this segment next week.

Yep me too, I think it may give us a new found appreciation for just how good the original race drivers like Moffat and co actually were in the day.....anyone who has ever pushed their GTHO road car for a bit of fun going over the mountain at Bathurst and hit that left hander where you start to come down again just a little bit out of shape will probably understand. Two words come to mind...Narrow and Steep. Some say....GTHO stands for Got Tailout Handling Omitted. :

Cheers Mick

Unhappy TG Aus

Not bad getting better but they have to use their eyes and not just read the script word for word "look here comes a roadtrain"
what the but with only one trailer and a float at that
with a grader on board not even fully loaded
like Laser said you see bigger trucks than that in town
hell mine is 45 tonne gross that one was only 42.50 tonne gross
and whatabout the road. Ive been through Coober Pedy in the seventies when there was 600 miles thats 1000 ks of dirt road between Alice and Adelaide
that road last night looked like it was graded only 10 minutes before the segment was filmed
maybe thats why the truck went through with a grader on the back
they should have shown some roadtrains so the OS viewers could see what we use here in the outback not a semi which they all have
OK next week the GT HO lets just hope they do it justice
thanks John
PS the very first episode of Copshop had Gil Tucker in it but he played a part called "stupid" and he was not Roy Baker the cop they must have liked him and kept him on

They wouldn't have got close to William Creek if that road was in the condition it was in last time I drove it (but then neither would a falcon, so it doesn't really matter) I agree it looked like it had just been graded.

The grader on the truck was pretty big, would probably need an escort in a lot of other places. I did laugh though when I heard they were going up the Oodnadatta Track though, that is virtually a gravel highway by unsealed road standards. Some corrugations but most of it is an easy 100 cruise in any car up to William Creek.
