I cant remember exactly, though it looks about right.
Very strange why it isnt lining up, are you sure you are putting them on right?

I just managed to find the part # for the front brakes for mine.

They are:

- CALIPER ASSY RH - BAF2B118A
- CALIPER ASSY LH - BAF2B119A
- ROTOR FRONT BAF1125A X2

These are the kits FTG are selling, but before they included the slotted rotors.

Yeah I'm 100% sure..

I'm either thinking that we have been supplied the wrong calipers (I have a feeling that these are BA calipers) or that the FTG kits that a number of people have are actually BF XR calipers and Territory ones are different..

EDIT: Have measured up a BA caliper and it seems that we have been supplied the wrong ones.. will see if I can find a Territory to measure up this arvo.

From memory that doesn't look like a Territory or BF XR8 caliper. Remember, a Terry caliper looks the same as a BA one, it's just the bracket is a bit bigger.

The bolt spacing between territory,BF,BA, AU2 calipers will all be the same, so if yours are a wider bolt spacing, chances are they will be VE calipers, as the Holden's do have a wider bolt spacing.

The spacing between the bolt holes is the same.. but the spacing of the holes from the main caliper housing is where the problem is.

Though it doesnt really matter.. it's looking more and more like we were supplied the wrong ones.. Pity PBR dont put actual part numbers on the caliper itself.

Wazza69: Can you tell any difference in the handling with the EB swaybar.

I can't tell the difference on mine but am interested in another opinion for my and possibly other people's curiousity.

Have looked at a Territory and they ARE Territory calipers.. So it seems that there IS a difference between Territory calipers and BF XR calipers as far as the mountings and Territory calipers DO NOT fit.

Have you compared the stock calipers (mounting bracket) to the Territory calipers?

They have to fit as they all use the same stub axle virtually..

Yeah they are similar.. If we had BA Discs it would fit fine but the holes are 10mm out with the 322mm disc on.

The stubs are quite different Falcon to Territory.. LCA's are completely different and caliper is mounted at the Back of the disc on the Terri instead of at the front.

Here's a pic i took after i painted my calipers a few months ago no.

When i bought them of FTG, they told me they were the same, Territory and BF XR8, and they fitted real easy, bolt straight on.

That is what I was lead to believe too..

Guess i should have just got them through FTG.. but by time I added up postage etc it worked out cheaper to get them from my local parts supplier, and with DBA Slotteds instead of the RDA's

Can you post pics of the stock AU2 caliper and the Territory calipers (mounting sides together) ?

I was actually happier i bought them with the Ford rotors, before they made the kit with the RDA rotors..

These work very well on my ute, stopping power has improved 100% over the puny stock brakes, and you can notice a huge difference between the braking from the ute and sedan.

All i need is the rear ones and itll be complete.

Hopefully by the end of year ill have the sedan fitted with these brakes aswell.

Yeah will do when the caliper os off the car again..

Yeah just the size difference is massive.. I can imagine the difference they will make.. The Rears make the stock AU brakes look way too small too!

Phil, can I just confirm that these are the part numbers that were on your calipers when you got them. Seems like we willb e able to swap them for the right ones, but I want to make sure 100% that we will be ordering the right ones this time..

It seems 99% certain they are Territory ones, everything is pointing that way. Ah well as long as we end up with the right ones in the end all is ok,

People just be careful that you get the right ones (BF XRT/8) or just buy the FTG kit!

Not without changing a significant amount of front suspension.

You will need this as a minimim:
Stub axles
calipers,
discs,
EB Swaybar (and the pins/bushes for it).

The other option is to just change it all over to AU2/3 suspension specs.

Just did an interesting comparison out of curiosity.
I currently have both a set of BA front calipers designed for 298mm rotors and AU2 calipers designed for 287mm rotors in my shed.

Looking at them separately the BA ones appear to be considerably bigger than the AU2 ones, as you would expect given they fit a disk 11mm larger.
Put them side by side though and the phisical size difference of the calipers is basically nil.
Take the pads out of each and the same applies. The BA ones look bigger until you match them up and they are almost identical. The AU2 pads have a more pronounced curve as you would expect to fit a slightly smaller rotor. Overall pad surface area is effectively identical though.

So there you go, the braking difference/effectiveness between AU2/3 and BA is entirely in the disk size (as opposed to AU1 to AU2 where the disk diameter is identical and the calipers are significantly different. Disk thickness is different but not a major factor).

This sort of comparison backs up the packages you can now buy on Ebay that uses the calipers for the 298mm rotors and converts the mounting to allow them to be used on a 330mm rotor. Same pad surface area, bigger rotor, more brake "leverage".

oh, and for the record, it may only be an 11mm size difference but you can immediately pick the bigger rotor without fail. Its a noticeable difference.

Yeah, PBR don't do too much where they don't have to. A few bits on BA&BF calipers come from AU2. Rebuild kits for the front are the same as they are the same pistons and the slide pin is the same as well.

There is no difference, pads are the same. When I looked into getting my BF/Terry calipers I looked into getting Formula pads again but a search for Territory pads said no go. Then I got QFM's, but I had them side by side when I got the brakes and they are the same. Later I also saw in a brake pad catalog that the part numbers are the same for both.

PBR engineered a different lower bracket to suit a larger rotor. Not hard for them to do in the end, but it works.

Basically the same as the change from AU2 to BA then. The calipers are different but really the main functional change is the lower bracket and a change in the inner bracket radius.
With the Terri calipers it looks like they probably didnt even change the pad radius.

I think the main advantage of going to BA calipers now is that there is an after market range of brackets now to allow the fitment of 330mm rotors and, I'm guessing, probably even bigger in the future.
