Chev in a shed. A cut-down 60s sedan.
Not mine, not my thing at all, definitely not for sale, don't ring the mobile numbers ..... Went to photograph a 265 VJ Charger but it was gone ..... |

I found one the other day at Esk...not in a barn, on the back of a trailer...and a little worse for wear...but still pretty cool nonetheless.

That GT40 and the car in the last post have been around Ipswich for years.
I wish the GT40 owner would actually paint that awesome car - it's just gel coated fibreglass atm.

Saw this at a mates place a few doors down. He was moving it from his garage around to his back shed and left it out the front for an hour. I took a bonnet that he had "free" written on and posed it for a few pics.
In that 3 minutes of taking the pics, 6 cars had slowed and turned around to come back for a closer look. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

On the way to work today I spotted a white HQ GTS sittting under a tarp. The front quarter of the car was exposed so I dunno if it was a 2 door or 4 door.. Had the same guards as the HQ above. Thinking about going back for a closer look

Here's a couple from a trip to visit my parents in Tassie.
These are on a private estate that my parents live on. The close up of the hub is on the chassis with the wooden spoked wheels. Excuse my poor attempts at being a photographer also haha.

Quite sad really... Same property has some vintage farm machinary that they still use...If anyones keen to see a whole bunch of pics from the estate, just say and I'll make a seperate thread...

I'd go with the theory of a meat wagon...there used to be a "stretched" Fairlane some years back which used to run up and down the highway with some sign on the side about "funeral services", and it too had the plain panels along the rear instead of windows, and low roofline. Whatever...I love it...I reckon that thing would look great in satin black with a nice set of wheels, plenty of chrome, slammed, and maybe some phantom graphics up the side along the bottom of piles of skulls. Or is that just me? |

Not sure about the story of this one, but you would think a Volvo coupé would be too valuable to be seen in this condition
I spotted it in suburban Alexandra Hills, not far from where I previously spotted this old Monaro (as I posted here earlier), and yes it's still there today |

How many old fire trucks are lying out in these same farms where some of the cars are? Say from 1950s up to 1990s vintage.

There's an old rural fire brigade truck beside a house under a tree in Duaringa, a little town about an hour from Rockhampton. It looks to be a Commer or some English thing from maybe the fifties. Not bad shape, but needs a good home.
Every time I see it I'm reminded of the Yank trend from a few years back to make "big hot rods" out of old fire engines...things like La France fire engines with massive straight eight engines in them, cut off at the top of the windscreen and doors, and leaving the chassis bare to build a sporty body on it. They looked like hot rods, but scaled up a few times. |
