Example are they self supported or do they rely on 50% of food from external countries to be imported.
The answer to this will reveal how much power they really have.

Granted, they may also be listening to the careful messaging but I'm not sure we can forever dismiss their ambitious research.

We talk here also about their sub-standard quality, Japan was there when I was young, now their 'stuff' is top notch.

Is this tech thought to be complete BS or 'yes it started, looks impressive but doesn't perform as reported'

I thought they have hypersonic missiles (like Russia), why is the West playing catch up with this tech ?

You seem to jump on whatever article as if whatevers reported might happen but its the reporters pov unless we know for sure its fact and in the end that we should look out or bend the knee and negotiate to keep the peace or let them have what they want no matter how they treat us.
