DJR-351 is right, thats more a road train! See the high trailer sides (Tankers) for carrying water into remote communities?

Back in the 70s they were called camel trailers
there were no load limits and the bottom was filled with fuel and general freight on top I personally drove in 1970 a "C line" International with a 160 Cummins thats 160 HP in a single drive prime mover with a 40 foot trailer and a single axle dolly and then another 40 foot trailer plus as much freight as you coud load on them ah the good ol days all for $75 a week thanks for the memories John |

Great film. I know it doesn't mean very much at all, especially that track but IIRC the FG XT Falcon got a 1:20 (2 seconds faster than HO)

the xy piece was pretty good. i thought they could've had more exhaust noise in it though. put a microphone on the rear bumper or something to hear the big 351 scream. |

I have really enjoyed this years series and the last episode was a cracker with the HO. I reckon it went well for a 40yr old car, although it would have been nice if stig had of gone .5 of a second faster to beat the commodore

I was told the HO didnt exceed 5500 rpm, owners instructions. Plenty of power left in reserve.

how's the 'thumbs up' he got from a holden driver on his way to bathurst. that sums up these cars. they are loved by all. i used to work with a one eyed holden bloke and even he loved the classic falcons. this is the reason the 'HO' nameplate should be left alone. |

I tale my hat of to these guys, they're getting there. They seem to be relaxing more, but it needs to be less scripted. They can put all the great cars in the world on the show, but it's the presenters that make or break a show. If it goes to Series Three, I bet it'll start to become truly great.
They gad some great segments this year, many laughs and some great cars. They are trying less to be like the Brittish guys and selling their personalities, and I for one think they did a good job! Bring on Series Three. |

That HO footage was superb. What a sexy car. The last two episodes were the best of the series. I hope in the future that they continue to focus more on cars, as they did in the final two episodes, and not on the flippant nonsense of earlier episodes.

Great effort by the presenters. They really seem to get along well now with James in there. The last few episodes were much more enjoyable to watch and it was very entertaining to finish off with such an iconic car, the HO.

I am very happy with the final ep of s2. I was afraid they'd pit it against a current model.
OMFG that HO. It simply doesn't matter that an FG XT beat it around the track. No DSC, EFI, ABS, big rubber, leccy dizzy, etc, etc. 40 years of exquisite Aussie Falcon Muscle history. Maybe this ep makes up for all the Holden propaganda of the previous eps haha, loved seeing the GTS Monaro seat and the XY seat. That's what the show needs. Focus on the newest and greatest for a while, but remember our roots when it counts. GREAT to have the HO III as the finale to the season. :evil3:
