On a more serious note, those little packs of dessicant you get in shoe boxes, or in the new shoes in said boxes, provided you dont eat them, which isnt recomended. The absorb moisture pretty good. As for the boot, if you dont have, or cant find a new one, sylicone the cracks, its flexible enough.

The water gets in through the seal on the glass not the boot on the back....................unless you forget to put it back on

Mate, can you please reply to my offers. I see them as very generous. It’s now obvious it’s a rust bucket, $1000 is a good deal man

The driveway has a downward slope - if you are familiar with this thread you would know that, so I only had to crouch down.

And besides, if I did lie down I'd be covered in slobber.

And you can **** off too.

Although I do have a question?

How long do normal spark plugs last?

When I first got the car, about 5 years ago, I changed plugs, oxygen sensor, cleaned intake thingy near the massive flow meter or whatever its called, got a full transmission fluid replaced, A/C serviced and put the nice wheels on.

Plus I replaced the head unit and front speakers.

In the 5 years, it has done 30,000 kms, taking the total just over 200,000kms.

Serviced regularly with synthetic oil.

So maybe I had better get to with a few jobs - replace plugs, plus I think I'll flush the cooling system and put new hoses on simply because I dunno when that may have been done before even though it still runs OK and doesn't get hot.

Fuel consumption readout on the dash shows 15.5 l/100kms

BTW youse dumb ugly Southerners - check out the ambient temperature here in Yap-Hoon at 4.30 pm.

In case you can't read it it says 25°

Sorry about the blurry pic, but Fordomatic taught me everything I know about photography.

Regular plugs last 30,000km. I'm assuming AU's still ran these? Can't recall now.

I think it was BA onwards that used the longer lasting platinum plugs which go 100,000.
