I saw this AU as I was walking into work the other day, I thought; I'm gonna take a photo of this, even if it gets me fired...

...really nice exhaust tip there, it was pink and stuck out about 10 cm from the rear bumper...

It's true though isn't it... I swear at least 60% of the time when I pass cars that are broken down, it's a 90's commodore.

Same goes for cars with steelies on the rear, and "altezza" lights...

My thoughts exactly, then again its a pity they put it on there at all.
IIRC it had either a screw or a bolt holding it on (it was NOT welded on).
My guess is that they simply sat the tip on the original pipe, got a drill out, drilled through both the tip and the pipe then stuck a bolt/screw through it to "hold it on".
I couldn't stop laughing, went into work smiling for once...

I don’t agree with the Aston Martin Logonda being there. I’d give my left one for one of those.

A fair few of those cars aren't even that bad.

Care to point out the "Aussie" car? I didn't see one...

Zeta Lightburn. Not a well known one, granted.

you will find most of the cheap aftermarket tips are bolt on these days. some even use a U clamp so they can fit anything from 2.5" down to 1"

some of those cars are deserving of been in the top 50 of sheer ugliness. Others you could argue otherwise. For example the ferrari enzo listed. They state that it the 'angles take flashy overcompensation to a new high'. Did I miss something? Cause I thought that half the time when you brought a supercar that is what you wanted. The design of the car would let everyone from a mile away that you have an overdesign road going car not beceause the law lets you but because you can and you want. Overcompensation? I think not. Inspiration to drive like a bat out of hell is more like it.

The DeLorean wasnt THAT ugly...just not beautiful.
Have to agree how did the ENZO get there?

I an leaning towards that site being the fail. Agreed there were some ugly cars but then there were some that while not being great looking they are not ugly and some of the captions, I think the author has a light and hub cap fetish

Just look through that list, what an absolute crock. Some of them yes but others no.

I mean a Cadillac Escalade, RAV4, H2 Hummer and a bloody Ferrari Enzo would hardly be classed in the top 50 of ugliest cars ever made.

A lot cheaper to maintain, and probably puts out more than the high-maintenance early 90s bmw 4 pot. If it wasn't too hard to do.. why not?
I'd personally love to have the shell and interior of a 5-series, but have the mighty Ford i6t driveline under it.

I kind of agree with the Enzo, if it wasnt for the Ferrari badge, it would just be a kit car some dude made up in his shed.

I vote that website as fail, just seems to be a bit stupid. Granted the cars aren't the prettiest but most aren't that bad.

Love how it criticizes an air-cooled, rear engined car for not having a grille. Smart cookies made that list for sure.

The EF was critized for not having a grill either.

Thats a good point.
Come to think of it, I've been told that before but this one just didn't seem like it was meant to look like that... then again...
I've been into Autobarn (don't buy anything from there anymore) to grab an oil filter and seen some of the dodgy tips you can get nowadays (have to walk past all the cannon exhausts and love heart exhaust tips to get to the filter section)... I wonder who buys this stuff!?

for once i agree with you tony... the el low range smily happy clown face frill looks stupid as... its like they used all their creative juices up on the el xr front, and got their 8 year olds from the creche to to the gli's.

Id have to differ in my opinion here. The EF gli's have early 90s Taurus written all over the front end. The EL looks more the part, however its still beyond me why they didnt take advantage of the EL grille opening & actually use it for letting air in. The same goes for the fairmonts.
