Hi Craig,
The Plastidip wheels look the goods! Will definitely do mine now, just curious how many cans of color did you end up using? David |

Good to see you joined up, mate. Yeah, I think they look pretty damn good, and the photos don't do it much justice. I'm on availability for the next two weeks so won't have the car at work, but once I do, let me know when you're off and we can catch up for a squizz if you'd like. I'll PM you my work mobile, too. As for the plasti-dip, I did three coats of black for the front face, and then two coats for the inside of the rim. Then there were two coats of metalizer for the front, followed by an extra coat of glossifier for the front as well. Although the extra coat of glossifier didn't make much difference, so you could probably skip that. All up that used around 3 to 4 cans of black (hard to tell as I had some small amounts left over that I used on the inside face) and less than a can of metalizer. What will the misses think of the change? Craig H

Thanx for the update Craig.
As for the wife.......mmmm, she doesn't read these forums soooo what she don't know wont hurt....until it's too late and the wheels are done. The beauty of Plastidip is it can be peeled off. OR I'll tell her that its Plastidip and get them powdercoated. Cheers David

Looks good Dallas. Is that the flat black with what looks like about 1 coat of glossifier?

Cheers Craig, its black with a couple of coats of metaliser and a 2 coats of glossifier. They kinda have a more flat looking colour to them but in the light there is a little bit of shine. Its kinda a weird looking colour. Its hard to tell in the pic.

Even if there is a little bit of wear, all you need to do is add an extra coat to make it all look brand new again. Craig H

Speedy Carbine in satin black, damn 5 x 108 PCD means not many options out there but I was pretty happy when I saw them mounted.

Pretty hard wearing from what ive seen, but id say as new rubber is fitted it would need to be applied again. Im hoping once new rubber goes on mine, new wheels will at the same time

Hi all, I ordered 2 ST badges from Ebay and stuck them on the rear most section of the rocker panel.....a bit like an XR. Also, AutoBarn have recently stocked door edge and door handle recess protectors. There a clear adhesive film that goes on easy, made by Cleargard.....well worth it as they are virtually invisible.
Also, took advantage of Cobb US having a 10% off Accessports.....so I bought one for the ST. Big day...... Cheers David

Brake weekend for me, originals were tired, fronts were well worn, showing signs of distress, plenty of pad transfer, what surprised me was the state of the rear pads

Early days Blair. Due to having the wrong HPS shipped I ran with the HP+ for a couple of days, at the end of the bed in they bit like you know what, subsequent travelling around town they just didn't get hot enough to work, felt like there was air in the lines, suspected there might be issues.
HPS have arrived and now in. They are not as bitey as the stocks from the outset, I really think Ford got it right for general driving, but as they get hotter the HPS seem better, and will no doubt handle some aggression better. I really need to get out and have a good run to be a better judge.

Who was racing the red ST Focus at the AFF drags today? Was running in the 14 second bracket all day, good job man.
From what I could see it had Roush intake and expensive looking front tyres. |

Wheels look good, but I bet all those spokes take some cleaning.

Levels fmic, boomba rmm, Roush Cai and tunes from Torrie. For the strip I was using a e30 tune. Was also using some mickey thompson et streets -255 r16's and still couldn't hook up in 1st :(
Not sure on power figures but the base V5B tune from Torrie made 174fwkw. The adjusted V5B tune feels stronger and from the data logs the e30 tune is always over 20 kw more than my v5b tune.

Nice time, best I have managed is a 14.05. Street rubber and I know what you mean about traction, there isn't any, no matter what tyres you run. I am sure there is a 13 in the car but thinking it is me that is the problem.
Do know of another with a Torrie E30 and he had a hub dyno reading of 198kW. Pre version 5, not sure what he was running back then. Running 98 myself. What track are you running on oddnutz?
