funny reading some of the comments here, dont forget to look out for what the left hand of the Gov is doing while handing you a cheque with their right hand ! ( Look behind you, its in your back pocket )

Particularly single people, where do you think the baby bonus, child endowlments, part one or two family payments, single mothers and dole $$$$DOLLARS come from ??????

To the Gov, single people are sick of being RIPPED OFF, I am single by choice so why penalise me, just to support the bludgers and people who cant keep it in their pants? If they want dependants then they need to be able to support them, not me!

Me and my Mrs both got ours on Friday.

It has paid for a service for my Moto Guzzi, will get some new bike jeans for mrs and a new helmet for me and then fix my boat (broke the fn propellor)

They really should have made it a $1000. $900 just doesn't sound like a lot of money these days.....

I got my check in the mail yesterday.

Funny though cause the wife got hers last week straight into the account and mine was mailed to me.
We both have the exact same tax setup and use the same tax accountant.

Just to let you know when I put my cheque in today the bank teller said the funds are available immediately. I check it at the ATM out the front and yes it was.

So if anyone has the bank hold their cash for a couple of days tell em its BS.

I think its right up to the end of financial year, ie 30th june. I too haven't got mine, but only lodged my tax last week - so not expecting it for a while anyway.
