Its a ute too!
I have that in GT5 full modded, handles awesome and won 2 out of 3 in the pickup races but too slow to win the other LOL

I would love to have that as a work car! A few mods and it'd be nuts

Look familiar? This one has an RB motor in it, and is NGV (runs on natural gas).

I notice the tag for that photo says "convert RB20" and "Malaysia".

That engine shows promise...

I remember in Street Machine magazine quite a few years ago there was a VL with the four wheel drive system out of an R32 GTR Skyline. He said that, amazingly, the whole front end assembly (engine, front drive system, and suspension) lined up with the holes in the VL chassis like it was made for it.
The full-house RB26 DETT he had in it was very worked and detailed, but the car looked fairly stock...nicely painted, but no over-the-top bodywork giving away what was under the bonnet.
The owner said for a giggle he would get his elderly mother to take it to a Holden dealership and ask them to check the oil just to see the looks on thier faces.

Probably has something to do with the fact VL's had Nissan RB engines in them in them to begin with

Spotted this Daewoo Barina with HSV stripes this morning. I'll admit it doesn't look half bad, in a poser kind of way.

I knew that, the engine you can understand just dropping in, but the entire set of mounting points of the front wheel drive mechanicals and struts lining up? Just one of those interesting little mechanical pieces of luck I guess.

Holden probably bought the engine and front subframes from Nissan and made the cars to suit...

not to mention it will have no balls. BOV hose tied up and a pod filter right infront of the turbo badge. low compression and cams built to suit boost would make it one slow ride

RB20 = fail in general! The answer to the question that was never asked. How does one make a V6 commodore slower?

The Opel steering was factory. In Malaysia, the car was known as an Opel Calais. And it ran an Opel 2.6L inline-6 motor from factory.
