Get one of these on a technical road and induce some satisfying throttle shut oversteer... Your bank balance won't be a concern anymore.

Hey all, I picked up my new FiST today, driving home I went to bluetooth streaming and artist/track titles actually came up on the screen.
I had a Focus ST as a demo in January-March and have had several drive Foci since where SYNC doesn't show titles.
Does anybody else's car actually do this or have I scored an upgrade?

Car is a May 2014 build, July compliance

Love the car, feels like a go cart!

I'm a parts manager at one, does that count?

I just joined https://www.ford.com.au/owner

There are no updates shown for my VIN but that may be different for you, certainly worth a look

Hey guys,

Has anyone tried accessing the second USB port on the sync module? Some instructions can be found here: http://www.fiestafaction.com/forums/...ve-to-the-USB2

I've read some cars will have power on the second USB port but no data.

Waiting for my ST to arrive.. don't really like the current USB port location, so at the very least, I can run a cable from the existing used port to the glovebox.

The site refuses to accept my VIN.
it's happy to identify the Zetec, but keeps saying VIN is invalid.
Grrrrr.......I'll have to contact Ford.

15k service is next week.

Just going to do factory intervals.

Starting to get some clutch chatter occasionally now?

Has anyone installed the mongoose cat back system on their ST? I've listened to it on youtube and it sounds pretty good, wouldn't mind some actual feedback on noise and power increase.

I would certainly recommend an oil change at 8K dude, I changed mine out at 5k and the oil was very dark and under light you could see very tiny glimmering specs in the oil which looked like bits of metal. I've changed mine again at 10k and the oil looks normal now. Just use semi-syn before you go full syn at 15k.

I took the opportunity to fit a fumoto drain valve with an extension bit as well as I intend to do my own 7.5k oil/filter changes and it makes it so much easier without having to muck around with the sump plug and replacing washer, just turn and drain, no leaks either.

Did you replace with a ford oil filter or get an aftermarket one?

Most workshops seem to charge the cap rate regardless of how long it takes to. Fixed rate is right.

I might just take mine to my local performance workshop this time

walked around to the Ford spare parts shop near my work.

Got filter. Part No:FO- BM5G 6714 AA for $9.30, hopefully it fits as the guy said there were alot of fiestas on the database

Its pretty tiny it fit flush in my cup holder.

Also looked at getting a plug too FO - 97JM 6730 BA but $29 was alot when i only wanted the washer.

Service manual recommends engine oil SAE 5W-30 meeting WSS-M2C913-C. And a little suggestion that Castrol Magnatec Professional A5 5w-30 meets this spec...

Now i know very little about oil and didnt see the manual one on the shelf.

So got some Penrite Full syntheic 5W-30 as i got a $10 discount and said it meets SAE 5W-30.

Are you tunned guys using 5W-30 or 5W-40? I noticed the 40 was for higher running temperature and plan on flashing my car.

5W-30 will do fine in the ST Engines.
Regardless, if you drive pretty full on all the time i woudl truley reccomend this from Liqui Moly.
- MOS2 ANTI-FRICTION | 2781
http://www.liqui-moly.com.au/products/oil-additives/

Also Fiesta Fuel Injectors do get grotty quick too, especially with **** Fuel.
(Personally I would always use 98 from BP only, Cleanest 98 in Australia. Also this Additive is already mixed into BP98 already)
I would suggest this maybe once you hit 15,000kms - 20,000kms.
- FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER / CONDITIONER | 2772
http://www.liqui-moly.com.au/products/fuel-additives/

Both are sold @ Supercheap Auto for great prices. $20 - $30
You may notice a difference once tuned using the above.
BUT if not, your engine will love you!

Used Castrol magnatec semi synthetic 5w30 for my first change as it's generally not recommended to go full syn early. I stocked up on Castrol edge for my next one though

So changed the oil on saturday and feels like the engine revs smoother.

Was pretty easy for me on my angled driveaway and didnt need stands.

While i was under the car though i noticed some orange disclouration in the front steering part, wonder if anyone else noticed it as well?
