Falcon I see almost every day in the university car park.. has been like it for quite a while... Exhaust has rusted through at the end of the rear muffler, also rusted at start of tailpipe, rotated around and tied to the tow bar with string. How they have been getting away with it is beyond me.
P.S. Also note the various dints, broken plate surround, failing rear window tint etc...

It's the owners of cars like the one above that make me anxious to take my own vehicle to uni. If that's how they look after their own vehicle, they certainly won't think anything of opening their door into the car parked beside them.

There's a BMW X5 around here with all sorts of chrome around its headlights, taillights, etc. Looks ghastly.

When we owned a VS Berlina and then a VX-II Lumina, I noticed them everywhere. We really really wanted to get the round Buick badges from the US like the ones fitted to the new Buicks at the time...they were exactly the same size as the round Holden badge front and back, and fitting them to a V6 Commodore makes about as much sense as the Chev badges on V8 Commodores...and it'd poke a bit of fun at the same time... |

CHEV BADGES ON COMMODORES??? Well if holdens were not such a BITSA people wouldn't be so confused! Holdens are global bitsas. piece from here, piece from there...re badge this car re badge that car. Holden owners are just doing what holden does. Swapping badges over and making them out to be something better.

Festivas were/are re-badged Kias. Lasers were/are re-badged Mazdas. Mavericks were/are re-badged Patrols. Corsairs were/are re-badged Pintaras. Telstars were/are re-badged Mazdas. There's more to Ford than just the Falcon. Ford have done plenty of taking this piece from here, re-badging that car with a Ford badge over the years. Holden just do what most car manufacturers do, take a car from another manufacturer and put their badge on it, but at least the majority are from within GM. Can't recall many "badge engineered" Holdens from outside of GM. Also I agree with Chev badges on Commodores . I've always been one to believe a car should be badged as it did from factory. If someone had a Toyota Lexcen and put Holden badges on it they would be just as bad IMO. Commodores get sold as Chevs over seas, but I see no problem with that as that's what they're sold as and that's what it has on its rego, insurance etc. I would NEVER put a Chev badge on a Holden. Chevs are cool, but if I wanted a Chev I would just buy one. |
