Great commute to this one, 45kms each way of smooth dirt, spotted no one except for mumma kangaroo and 2 Joeys. Only good when the Ford level's down but.

Absolutely. One bad event and I’d have been stuck until 6:45 this morning. A lot more time was spent thinking/planning than “doing”.

This mornings Bahrain Grand Prix. After 8 years of watching Mercedes dominate the sport it appears they won't (at least initially) be dominant. Leclerc the man gets the win that should have been his in 2019.
For the first time in several years I am looking for to this season!

It always involved steps and improvised ramps like you did. Working solo sucks but I've done it my whole life. Even now, 46 hrs a week for not much more than minimum wage, solo. But at least they've supplied me a forklift... I've been considering turning my old ute back into a tray now I don't have to sleep in it, but getting a tray sucks now. Where I work can supply me with a generic alloy 1800-2100 tray for $2650, but none in the company knows how to fit to a falcon, they only do 4x4 dual cabs. From looking at the manual here the fuel tank needs to be removed to access on bolt? But I wasn't wanting a generic tray anyway - I'd give that a go myself but the company makes some very nice looking custom trays which they aren't interested in making for falcons. OH well, at least back in the day the tub body had a lower "tray" than a proper tray back - one of the reasons why I wanted a tub body when I first bought the falcon ute, for lifting stuff up to it like your example. Previous work ute was a 2014 4x4 courier which sucked due to tray height even though it was a tub body it was so high due to being 4x4. Last edited by oldel; 21-03-2022 at 11:53 PM. |

Got my radiator replaced today. Pretty happy i got the job quoted because the bloke couldnt find a stock style bf radiator in stock anywhere. So the quote was honoured and the core of the new rad is twice the thickness of the factory item. And the system has been bled properly and pressure tested.

For years I have accepted that the hardware on my Gibson would always stay dull and tarnished. I was told the nickel in the finish can react with sweat and oils from pores and that it was too far gone to expect it to ever look like new again.
I wish I had taken some more shots before I got started but this is what I was dealing with. The tailpiece and neck pickup were in the worst condition so I tackled them first. I have no closeups of them before getting started but you get the idea. I tried 3 different products before seeing any change. An old tube of Autosol that I used to use on my Simmons rims was the only stuff I had on hand that made any difference. When I saw the neck pickup looking like a mirror, I got stuck into the other pieces. I was so stoked. I was convinced the finish would never look like this again. It was disappointing because I would always wipe it down between uses, yet here it was looking fairly sad compared to when it was first purchased. A new set of strings and a polish of the body and I can't stop looking at it. So yeah this result has definitely made me feel good. |

Glad to hear its still available to purchase. The chrome outer edge of the Simmons always looked like new using Autosol but I had forgotten about it. |

Nice, I like the modern day lines about the Theodore.
A early collectable I'd presume 318 made only, US$4999.00 equates to A$6683.89.....

I can’t see them stopping dead at 318. They’ll weasel a way around that; gesheft is gesheft.

Will these fakes also include options of bad repairs and cheap/nasty paint jobs; realities of when their predecessors were cheap secondhand things? :p

Ripping into a pack of Tasty Toobs right now. I was just doing my regular shopping and saw it and damn right I had to buy it!
They say they are limited edition but so were Kettle Herb and Spice but now I pick up a pack every week |
