Default Tailshaft

I am after a tailshaft for my coupe, 351, C4 to 9".
I have a tailshaft from a sedan but it does not suit the 9" uni. apparently i can change the yoke in the 9".
If anyone has either part please let me know.
Located near sydney.

i am not sure which coupe you are referring to but it was done with an XB Coupe front guard and put on the back.

I think you are slightly mistaken HP4ME, the front wheel arches can be used to rebuild the rear wheel arches on a coupe, but if he wants an entire rear quarter panel i am assuming there is more damage than just the wheel arches.

thanks XA-MONT that's sounds more like what I was getting at.

Though a good portion of the sedan front guard was used on mine length wise and including (what I call) the lateral line.

First you will need to work out what size uni you have on the tail shaft and what size yoke you have on the 9"...there are really only two main sizes used on the 9" in Australia.

1310 and 1330.

1330 being the bigger one, also refered to by some people as GTHO Yoke.

So you will have either one of those. All you need to do is buy the correct uni for you application and fit it to the tailshaft and you are done, you either buy 1310 to 1310 (if you have small yoke and tail shaft) or 1330 to 1330 (if you have large tail shaft and yoke) and the one you probably need 1310 to 1330 which will convert one size to the other.

Cheaper than a new tail shaft or new yoke.

Jack , on my XCcoupe we used a front right guard for the rear left guard and vice versa. I had rust issues around the arches..........

To clear up a bit of confusion, the section below is what we are looking for. This section needs to be replaced on my coupe and the rebuild is on hold until I can find a replacement panel.

It has been repaired there previously and the metal is really thin.

Cheers

Give Tin West a call. They could probably make one up using the original panel as a template.

Dont suppose you have the chrome trim off the windscreen by any chance. Need the top piece specifically. They do fit a coupe don't they?

Also chasing honeycomb trim off the back below the boot lid if any one has any.

Cheers

you will find the top piece of windscreen chrome is coupe only and none you find will fit, they will to short but if you get 2 sedan bits of trim cut them and join the abit like the bottom piece it should do ok

I know the sedan trim doesn't work as is, couple inches too narrow but are you saying the ute is too short as well. I assumed since the doors on utes are the same for coupes and vans (different glass i know) that the roof line was also the same. We tried with a sedan piece but the curves are different as well so it is a little more difficult than just a cut and shut. Looks bodgy too.

I was of the opinion that utes were the same as coupes, but utes are definately the same as p/vans, & from memory the pv screens are sedan. I'm happy to be corrected, but I'm pretty sure.
Cheers Rob.

Hey Guys
Chasing the following parts for my Landau
1. Landau Emblem suitable for rechroming (no pitting etc)
2. Landau rear vinyl roof moulds (or just the large passenger side piece as the rest are fine)
3. Front and Rear Overriders
4. Bonnet hinges/springs - mine are a little tired and want a better set
