Hi Trent,
Thanks for the welcome yeah, maybe I should.... might look into that later. Tony, If you look at the rear shot you'll see the pipe just behind the rear wheel, the other is a mirror on the other side. There is no balance pipe between the sides either so it makes a different note... might get round to fitting a balance pipe one day. Dave |

Great stuff DaveD ..... Coupe looks great! Love the MM replicas, have a look at COB115's coupe in these pages somewhere and you may fix up the second coupe?
If you do decide to change your sig ...... go here and ask and it will be done! THe plates look great so might as well use them on the sig as well! http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...87#post2349787 | |

Welcome to the forum, great to see more coupe owners come aboard. Your spare XB would make a great targa car or maybe a race replica. Cheers.

Targa top...eh... no that wasn't what I ment Trent..... I mean a road race car for Targa events, like Targa Tasminia or Targa West
but then a replica race car would be very very cool.... so that would be 4 & I'm still chasing a GT.... that'd be 5..... bugger, Hi My names Dave & I a Coupeoholic....... Dave |

it has still destroyed the best part of a coupe though - hopefully the roof was rusted and not realistically salvagable |

It doesn't look too bad but these usually look like a badly erected tent with the top up.

from the sides or rear they just look so wrong to me i would suggest most coupe lovers, including myself love them because of the roof line and quarter panels. they were made to go together and without one or the other - they just look wrong the piece above the windscreen looks weird - it almost looks like they have fabricated a piece that makes it taller at the top of the screen |
Absolutely couldn't agree more. The 70/71 Torino had a hardtop, a fastback, and a convertible - the latter with very different but handsome flanks. You couldn't make a nice Torino convertible out of either of the coupe shapes - they'd end up pointy and quere like the Falcon coupe. However, the idea of a four-door convertible in anything smaller than a P6 is just wrong, so I guess when they were a dime-a-dozen the coupe would have to be the obvious choice for a hack?
The coupes look like crap without a roof & its just criminal to cut it off but yea all the ones done seem to have been done years ago. Personally I think there arent a lot of cars that do look good as a inconvertible. I'll take the Falcon over the Torino any day or I would sell mine Falcon & by 2 Torino's LOL cheers Lawrence :
