Clinton winning California contributed almost single handed to her popular vote numbers, she also got 55 Californian EV's, but the county map of the USA (blue V read) shows exactly why she lost. Blue Square mile V's Red Square mile is where the democrats got pounded. This is exactly the mapping here in Australia, where much of the Australia volume votes coalition. All Trump needed to do is retain the 2012 republican sates and turn around a few states to win. He turned around 5 previous democrats states into republican states.

BTW: So many people have had a gut full of Clinton/Obama. 42-46 Million people living day to day off food stamps for the last 8 years may be an indicator of how utterly hopeless Obamas/Clinton policies were.

Not to mention that republicans in California are well aware they aren't going to win so they stayed home. My state went 60% for Clinton but I voted against her anyway for spite. I saw a county map color coded for candidate and judging by the location of the blue counties a little global warming sea level rise will float half of the democrats away.

How could a people vote for a man they don't know who he truly is, Trump and Hillary have there whole lives documented from child hood so we know who they are and where they come from.

But with Obama you can't do that, I have never found much to go on worth bugger all, but only for some years before he became President is all I can find.
Does anyone know who his school class mates were and what they have to say about him, maybe they have been all shot ? who the hell would know, I find it amazing that people don't care at all who they are truly voting for.

I found Hillary Clinton came across as just a total creep show only full of total cunning evil.

Take CA out of it and it was a whitewash in Trumps favour, the only reason the individual votes got up for Hillary was because of CA. CA are a bunch of whiny hipsters anyway, so I don't count them

How exactly has he been a bully? He has had his life and his families lives threatened thousands upon thousands of times by everyday people and celebrities alike, Robert De Niro went on television and called him a dog and threatened to punch him in the face, have you not heard what Mexican crime bosses want done to him , have you read the threat after threat of everyday people what they would do to him if they had some one on one time? He has never been bankrupt, some of his businesses went bankrupt, you do know there is a difference between personal bankruptcy and business bankruptcy? It's common for businesses to go bankrupt and many smart business people do this.

Hilary Clinton called Donald Trumps supporters a bunch of deplorables, she said that black people are predators, her husband is accused of being a rapist, her husband had an affair, lied about it and treated the woman in question with utter disdain and disrespect all while Hilary Clinton stood by him and said that she is a fighter for women's rights and has said that he's a good man.

What did you find slanderous about his comments on foreigners?

Even more embarrasing would be the lower spec variants of the VF in HSV's stable getting whopped by a factory XR8.

I don't believe he wrote anything about muslims being evil? What he did say was "that they are hell bent on importing such a foreign incompatible culture" and I would totally agree with him on this, we share absolutely nothing in common with Islam, in this country it "works" only because we are the tolerant ones. The previous people that we have taken in after WW2 were the people from Europe, who all share very similar cultures, of course that was always going to work. But that's all I'm going to say on that issue as this threads about the US Election.

This is another real life story from cheap.

I've started work on a new gig, salvaging a project out of the disaster that it has become. The project team has a communications expert, she is mid-late 20's, highly educated and absolutely stunning. Big Clinton fan and by Thursday morning she was despondent. How could Trump win? It will be a disaster!

Now remember, she is a communications specialist.

So I asked her what was Trump's narrative? I'll paraphrase a little "America is broken, health care is broken, your jobs have gone overseas, your kids don't have a bright future, our borders are not secure, terrorists are in the America. I know you're hurting. But, I'm here to help, I'm here to fix these problems."

I then asked her what was Clinton's narrative? <insert the sound of chirping crickets>

I'm not a psychologist, but I think congnitive dissonance seems to be prevalent amongst many people.

How much reach world experience does a person under 30 have? Most of those now protesting in the USofA are from the same age group as your communications expert.

California is the 6th largest economy on the planet!
Behind the US, China, Japan, Germany and the UK.
Nearly as big as the the UK BTW.

Maybe a Calexit should be on the cards?
Sure those hippies and lefties are doing something right.

I condensed 'racism, mysoginy & homophobia' into 'evil', as these in my opionion are traits which are either from fear, ignorance/lack of education, or from simply being evil.

Say g'day, except not to Big D.

The Vietnamese refugees A) weren't from Europe & B) didn't share a similar culture...

Um we did fight a war in Africa. Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Algeria. All over the South Mediterranean Sea.

Afghans have been settling here for ~200 years, where do you think all the camels came from?

People from the middle east have been here nearly as long as white anglo-saxon settlement.

Way to paint all muslims as evil. If you go back several decades we brought in refugees from other countries where we were waging war, and then several decades prior to that we were taking in immigrants from countries that we were also at war with only a few years prior.

Vietnamese. Italians. Germans.

And now when civilians, including professionals, are trying to escape their collapsed countries and/or start a new life, either as refugees or immigrants, it's different?

I'll put my money where my mouth is. I'm heading to the middle east next year for a holiday. Not an explody part, because who in their right mind would head in to a war zone? Oh, that's right, those are the places you try to ESCAPE FROM. Like, I dunno, refugees seeking asylum?

The next time you pass someone on the street who isn't an anglo aussie, why don't you do the aussie thing & say g'day, instead of automatically assuming that they're out to blow you up and bash your wife/sex your daughter, whilst taking your job *and* welfare benefits?
You're putting words in my mouth.
Not all of the Middle East is in conflict. But all of it is more more mysoginist, racist and sexist than Trump will ever be (these childish and selfish liberals threatening to leave the states could move there instead).
Put your money where your mouth is eh... Perhaps take a trip to Europe and walk thru a Muslim no go zone. One where the fire service, police force and ambo crews steer clear of. But be sure to tell your missus and daughter to wear some revealing clothing to experience the cultural enrichment that you seem to be championing for.

What words did I put in your mouth exactly?

Nice generalisation there (see bolded), you clearly know a lot about the middle east.

Why would I want to visit any area that fireys, cops & ambos avoid?

Why would my wife try to invoke conflict through intentional decisions such as wearing revealing clothing in places where such behaviour is frowned upon? How about you walk in to Crown Casino next weekend shirtless & barefoot & see how far you get eh.

I'm very much looking forward to the cultural enrichment I'll be experiencing with their people, food, history, the land... sure beats cultural ignorance.

Words in my mouth.... I never said Muslims are evil. Acknowledging that their culture and Western culture is at complete odds with each other, and pointing out the FACT mass Muslim immigration into the west is already a failure (and they are yet to break 15% of the population in any Euro country) isn't saying they are evil.
Women have the right to wear what ever they want in Western countries. After all that is the result of progressive social policy fought for in the past 40 years. People who sing the same tune as you, rolling out the 'ist' label to anyone who doesn't tow the line and yet here you are defending Muslims who want western women in western countries to dress to their stone age standards. Contradictory to say the least.
Yep I did generalise regarding the Mid East but it no different to generalisation of Trump voters which has turned out to be completely false. If the Wests biggest issue regarding supposed sexism and homophobia is gender neutral bathrooms and gender pay gaps then I'd say the Middle East has a fair way to go to catch up.

Word in my mouth again - I never said or think anyone non Anglo wants to carry out what you describe. If you can't see the difference between catholic Italian or orthodox Greek or Slav to a Muslim Somali and how each have (or haven't) integrated into the host country then it goes over your head and I may as well talk to a brick wall. I guess you're one of the do gooders who are screaming racist because the authorities are wanting to deport members of the violet thug African Apex gang running riot around Melbourne. I'll leave it there as it's straying off topic. Actually your hand wringing appeasement of failed multicultural/immigration policies and labelling people who disagree with you as ignorant or an 'ist' played a huge part in trumps success. We could try and drum this into the heads of the liberals everyday for the next four years and the mongs will still be singing the same tune come 2020.

G'day...I had the most edifying phone conversation last night.. My great friend who lives in Baltimore MD , Louis , is a most recent times voting Democrat.

Despite not being a huge fan of Hillary Clinton he felt she was the better option overall so he voted that way. Now for the most sobering part.. Obviously Trump won and I queried with him all that on the phone.

He put me in my place (in a nice way) by saying this and I'm paraphrasing..
"the guy is our new president elect. I don't like what he said but the people have spoken so as an American citizen I accept him as the man to lead us for the next four years and I'll show him due respect to do a good job as our President "....This view spoke volumes to me and in Aussie terminology it'd be "what about giving the new bloke a fair go before you sling off at him "..

There...so I am going to respect actual U.S. opinion , especially Louis's and hope he truly does "Have a good go "...
For all our sakes I hope he and his administration does..I hope the complexity and reality of now being US President will be the making of this most controversial man ...
Cheers Rod..

I think you're mistaken with the brick wall part.

Who's the 'ist' when it comes to one person who greets others, and another person who demonises them?

I'm hand-wringing? Stop putting, err, wrings in my hands?

The Vietnamese refugees A) weren't from Europe & B) didn't share a similar culture...
Racism nothing to do with with evil really the reality of life can be racial points, I have lived with Aboriginals who hate whites for years, I get along with them just fine as they respected me, we don't agree with everything, because they are even full on racist does not bother me one bit, but I understand where they are coming from and that's way more than the majority of white aussies do, as most have there head that far up their you now what, believing all the crap that the Marxist Political Correct media spin, the brainwashing and the TV educated sticks out like dogs balls to me. the method of there madness will not truly work because it's based on delusional concepts.

Homophobia give me a brake, Marxist PCness brainwashing methods again are at play, it's bullying people again into submission of any opposition at all to there demands and playing on the lowest common denominator for there accusations and all they do is try to twist every word one may say, with there pig ignorance and cunning deceptions they push, it's an art form of a devious derelicts that comes into play.

With the Trump win, you can see all the deluded brainwashed dolts running about, in there PC Marxist delusional fantasy world, rejecting democracy.

There is a big difference between a racial opinions and a racial prejudice opinion, but the PC Nazi types claim it's all the same and work against any opposition to what they want to spin and come the stand over tactics, so as no one has a right to give another opinion or your communistic degenerate will come the heavy, only because they faced opposition to there cunning evil intents, as he is a master of delusions and weak minded people fail to comprehend they are being taken for a fool.

People have short memories.

My uncle used to spit at Italians when he walked past them in the street. As a child, I used to wonder why.....

He was captured by the Germans and handed over to the Italians who proceeded to torture him and then threw him into a mass grave containing hundreds of dead diggers.

He and many others had good reason for their actions.

It's very easy to pidgeon-hole people instead of taking every individual at face value.

Whenever I hear the whining, caterwauling audible pollution that comes out of the mouths of the entitlement snout in the trough set, I think of this:

just wanted to say i,m amazed at how this whole thing has gone, (Hollywood couldn,t write this script) and the complete hypocrisy of the democrats voters (Clinton ) , the election results and the hypocrisy and behavior of the democrats after the elections, what a bunch of commies! if clinton had a brain you might think she would make a press conference and ask for calm. someone has been shot now.
