Hello,

Look at a class action, you are not alone. At best you will get a new one if you hand over more money, I dont know why they havnt developed a normal Trans to retrofit. There are MANY unhappy owners.

Alright lads,
Long time forum reader, first time poster.
I've had bucketloads of fords over the years, from escort panelvans to xr8's.
Just bought an '06 Ford Courier XLT Supercab 4x4 that I'll be customising the back for camping. Might post a build thread for the sleeping platform..

Jdbeen,

I also like to get away, what area do you live in and what type of things do you do ? Hunting, fishing, prospecting, touring or just relaxing ? There is some really good gear around now for your set-up. I look forward to seeing some Plans / Pics of your project.

BFGasUte,
I'm from Newcastle. Mainly just into getting out of town and relaxing, maybe a bit of hiking. Always wanted to get into hunting but haven't really found someone to teach me the in's and out's yet.
I'm not new to the offroad scene so I've seen plenty of the gear out there but my background is in engineering and am pretty handy so I think I'll DIY a lot of my own stuff. Not to mention most 4x4 gear is outrageously overpriced.

Hello,

Maybe start some dedicated threads about it. Places, Set-up and Hunting ? There are some great places I have been and always wanted to go back. Some I know I never will, but at least I know I have been there. Set-up is another thing with many good idea's not made commercially yet. ARB started from seeing poorly made stuff on a Cape York trip and deciding he could make better.

Hi ford fans my name is Jason from Mount Gambier. I currently own a BF XR8 and an XB GS 302 both vehicles stock as a rock except I removed the rear muffler on the BF extended the pipe back out and had the original tail piece put back on sounds much nicer ( not too loud and doesnt drone). The XB has its original matching engine. Interior has been changed to black and the paint work is now wild violet with the orange GS stripe. Currently looking for original GS rims and factory spotlight switch.

Cheers

Hi, another newbie to the forum. I've had a number of Fords over the years..
XW Falcon , XW GS Fairmont, XC Fairmont, XF Fairmont to name a few.

Current rides are a couple of 'sensible family cars'.. a 2006 Focus and 2006 SY TX AWD Territory , which was put on LPG a few years back BUT has been plagued with diagnostic errors ever since. (P0171 - System Too Lean (Bank 1) , and P1131 – Oxygen Sensor 1 Bank 1)

Hi, My name is Barry, I am resident of Perth, WA. I currently own two blue ovals,, a 2009 AWD Petrol Territory, and a 2012 XR6 N/A. Both were purchased new, the XR6 has 45,000 klms, and the Territory 190,000 klms. I am thinking seriously about trading the Territory for a new Diesel Territory prior to the cars going out of production later in the year. Reluctantly I buy a diesel 'cause the petrol is not available in AWD now, and the diesel has a greater towing capacity.

The Territory has been a great car with the exception of the diff mounting bushes. The fronts at about 90,000 klms, and the rears are due now. I guess the brakes are a normal wear item, with all discs being machined a couple of times, and replaced.

Strangely enough both vehicles have the same motor (4.0L) and both have suffered front oil seal leaks.

Hi to All
A newbie here with a 2005 Territory AWD Ghia
We love the car, have a minor problem with reverse camera not working when flashing of the gear indicator in instruments eg. when 'R' or 'D' or 'P' flashes no reverse camera or reverse lights, fuses OK & globes OK, has anyone else had this happen?

Hi Guy's and Girls out there,

Newbie here and first time forum post, friends call me GT i have recently purchased a 2005 SY Terri Ghia so far happy, just the usual issues have come up like no lights except on auto turned out to be the indicator stalk...fixed last weekend with a bit of solder and a few hours cussing and grumbling

Great forum heaps of info especially on the dreaded ball joint recall, mine were done by the previous owner (bless her cotton socks)
Perth WA.

G'day guys, my first time ever on any type of forum. From Brisbane and may be a bit long in the tooth for it, being a life time Ford fan I decided to have a look. Did apprenticeship as meccy in the very first 4 year intake. How things have changed. Had many Fords and a couple of junk box Holdens over the years. Currently drive a 1990 Triton ute I've had for almost 15 years and only done 420000 k's. Missus has a Festiva Trio 2000 model, had it the same amount of time and only done a bit over 100000 k's. Although not in the spirit of a true Ford fan at least it has a Ford badge on it.
Cheers to all

Brothers and Sisters - greetings from the 'Berra.

Just picked my new (secondhand) BF XR6 Craig Lowndes ute.

First car was an orange-brown XE Falcon. Have also owned a Ford Ka runabout and ST24 Mondeo.

My daily driver is a Mk6 GTI, but super keen to do an F100-Falcon mash-up in the future. Don't really know what is feasible or practical at this point (thinking a 6T transplant) but these forums look like a good place to get some ideas and make some new pals.

Cheers

Hi Kosta, welcome to AFF.

Ask the people in the Classic Forum.

You might like to check out the X-Series Technical Data section in the same forum, there's a few brochure scans there.
