I thought the VF was totally relevant, an Australian large car update that could have many similarities (effort and factory input, not the actual changes) to the Falcon update.

What are people supposed to do then if by your meaning they shouldn’t open a thread about the new Falcon when that is what they want to read/hear ?. |

I think the mods have done a good job keeping this on track. As already mentioned, conversion about the Falcon and around the Falcon are all relevant. If you want to read just about actual official confirmed updates on the new Falcon maybe ford.com.au is appropriate? This thread IMO has closely followed all previous pre-release threads on FF, lots of speculation, lots of comparisons, lots of crap spoken, all part of the FF experience I thought.

Is Metadiscussion OT ?
IMHO aiming for a VF front end is aiming backwards. |

That's amazing, they were shown in the 1985 mag for a 1988 release!

Risky move I reckon, especially how still today Ford are protective about leaked images of the 2014 Falcon. |

See I don't have a problem with the Holdens, but it is the Jags that make me vote for thread closure

That took longer than I thought, all in jest! Just proving a point that we can move on with the new Falcon now (so can Ford).

I have only heard positive comments from the employees who have seen the new G6 and XR8 in the flesh. All have said it looks awesome and tuff.

I think Ford have hit the nail on the head with this final Falcon. Too bad they just didn't have a bit more of a budget. |

Thought pics of the EA were leaked? Could explain the early marketing.

They wouldn't get a redundancy but they will still get their entitlements.
There are people at Ford who are letting others look at these cars and take photos, thats a no brainer. I think to these guys it seems like its a bit of a game, plus I think a few of them enjoy the publicity that the car gets when certain things are leaked.

What is the usual process with colour range on new models? My thoughts are they will probably roll over the majority of the current colours, maybe drop 2 and add 2 new ones?

Hopefully they bring back those unique colours that some of the earlier FG's had, like the really cool green colour (Can't remember the name) and I think there was a blue that alot of fans want back.

I cant see them bringing back any colours, though a couple of the most popular colours from the past would be a nice farewell. From what I remember the stable colours like Silhouette, Winter white, Lightning strike etc that have been around awhile will likely stay and they may replace a couple of the other colours. Actually Octane has been around for quite a while as well.
