The beehives are all prepared for official Varroa inspection now - honey frames have just been removed. Lots and lots of really shirty bees - shame the troublemaker didn’t come a bit later.
I don’t care if he dribbles in my ear while I’m out the front, or comes to the front door within respectable hours. If he can follow such guidelines it’s not a problem to know him - but the onus isn’t on me at this point. |

Is this relevant to Australia though?

OP never said it had to be relevant to Australia.

Some time ago a work colleague bought me a book. It collected dust until one day I decided to read a bit. I got roughly 1/4 through it and it became a dust collector again.
Well today I had a power outage and had **** all to do so picked it up again and now 2/3 through it. Every time we talk about anything related to the topic he says 'have you read the book?' There is now a good chance by the time I go back to work on Thursday I might have finally finished it I've been binge watching The Sopranos so maybe not |

Replaced the airmatic compressor in my Merc as it was getting embarrassingly noisy .
Grand Motors qouted me $2750.65 to do the job however it only cost me $250 and 25mins out of my life ! I also thought i would anticipate further issues for the NEW owner and swapped out the voltage regulator on the alternator as i have just surpassed 150000km's Again just for a tease i rang up and got a qoute emailed to me, nearly $4000 this time LOL I bought the reg off fleabay for $120 , cheapest alt i could find was over $1000 and my buddies at Bursons wanted over $2000 ! And that was just for a Bosch which appear to have an issue with quality and longevity? Cant believe i made it all the way home after the battery light came on in Brisvegas and i had to contend with boxing day traffic, only for it to stop outside my front gate. Luckily a jump pack was all that was needed to get it into my garage for repairs. Happy New Year by the way, hope you all had a blast... i was working as always. |

(Filling in time while I wait to see if 60mg codeine phosphate does anything for me)
…Chuckling at how some of the eighties “hair farmer” guitar heroes have aged. https://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/hum...age-paf-output Steve Lukather’s hairpiece But I’ll pay Joe Satriani’s embracing of the chrome dome. No implants, no wigs, no perpetual hat - just “My hair’s gone. Deal with it”. The company who commissioned photos for the link above must have been a bit twitchy about baldness, though - he’s rocking a beanie. |

For whatever reason - divine grace, natural recovery, medication - or combination of reasons, I’m in the least discomfort with my back since about Boxing Day. It’s nice to be this well.

It's taken me a month, but I feel like I have finally caught up with my job backlog after getting Covid in early December.

The company arrived at my house this morning to pour our new asphalt drive way.
Can't wait to have the space there and usable (is a new house and driveway wasn't done yet)

Tidying up the vans engine bay.
Replaced all the vacuum lines and sorted out a better air intake for summer. A quick test run out to Winton and back in the heat.

A top-up midday shop at Woolies, saw their brioche style Easter buns were marked down, so I bought a half-dozen. Popped two in a sandwich bag and took them to my good neighbour. She was genuinely pleased, a simple gesture on my part and I could see that one was headed straight for afternoon tea (and the other likely tomorrow).
