http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-265509195.htm

central otago car (very dry climate - good for vehicle preservation) 2hr drive from me - if I had the coin i would snap it up....

This ad looks a bit odd or is it genuine?
Buy it now for 10.000 and only contact by an msn e-mail address!

Does look a bit strange, doesn't it. No rego number, no VIN, and the guts of the ad looks like it was cut & pasted. And the "Buy It Now" is not an ebay button, but more like "email me with $10,000 and you can have it".

I'd stay clear of it.

Exactly what I thought.
Not that I'm after another coupe (the wife would probably kill me if I got another).

Well spotted. I emailed the seller, and the story goes,.......
Blah blah, no scrathches, no damage, I have all the papers & documents, also i am the first owner. The price is 10,000 AU including shipping to your address (only in Australia). The car is registered in Australia on my name and address but currently i am located in London UK because i finished the divorce with my husband and i have moved here to my parents home. The payment will be made through ebay and only after you will recieve the car, i will recieve the payment.
If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so i can initiate the deal through ebay. I will wait your answer (if you are interested to buy) very soon.
....So, sounds pretty dodgy eh!
I emailed back, "Can i veiw the car in the next couple of days". We will see what sort of response comes back if any.
Cheers Rob.

PS; I just went to veiw the listing again and it has been removed.

Assuming the body has been done right with respect to rust, you couldnt build it for that much thats for sure! You need $20k for a rusty base nowadays

The seller has responded with further info to my enquiry, that the car is in a shipping container in Darwin ready to be shipped to purchaser, and that the purchase payment is totally refundable through ebay if i'm not happy within 5 days of recieving the car. The car would then be picked up and shipped back.

Makes a great bedtime story!......It obviously turns into a pumpkin!.....No happy ending here! :togo:

Cheers Rob.

Default Landau in NZ For Sale

Thought this might be of interest to someone here, seeing your $ is worth more than ours

Seems to be complete and in working order. Note: I haven't seen or inspected it

Ok - just looked at the one on eBay that sydneysteve posted a link for.

If that one only got to $11k and didn't sell, then this one won't be of interest to you guys over there.
