Car Jacking Fail

http://www.caradvice.com.au/139917/d...nual-is-safer/

Quote:
Driving a manual is safer
By Karl Peskett | September 29th, 2011

Well, that’s what we’ve gleaned from a CBS news story in the U.S.

Two would-be attackers in Linthicum, Maryland, approached a man who was talking to friends at a service station, both wearing masks and one brandishing a gun. They tried to steal his car from him, but the man had a trick up his sleeve – he could drive a manual.

When he informed them that his 2005 Volkswagen “had a stick shift” their brains’ clearly had a melt-down, and they ran off.

So there you go – driving a manual car protects you from car jacking.

Saw this in the carpark of the Royal Children's Hospital.
If he got rid of the rear wing and the bonnet bulge, it'd be horn.

Did the 180SX have a V8 note though? There's a few with LSX conversions going around

Is it the red wheels that are the fail... sort of.... Is it the stupid amount of spokes? Yeah kinda... Is it the fact that one of the spokes is the wrong colour? Absolutely.

Run out of paint there chap?

No, it's a fail.

Our number plates evolved to WRX-XXX in April 2000. This car is a lot newer than a 2000 model.
Also, the STI badge is not on straight when compared to the Forester badge, and if the dual exhaust was meant to be there or an adaptation of a factory system, why is there only a recess for one pipe in the lower bumper bar?

Most definately a fail of overly massive aspirations.

Spotted last week returning from Wollongong...
SV6 with a V8 power bulge bonnet and of course the obligatory Chevy badges, but in this case it was one GOLD on the front and one SILVER badge on the back
Would've snapped a pic but I was doing 100km/h up Mt Ousley = don't let go of the steering wheel :p

Oh and this spotted in my friend's complex

Alright guys, move over, time for thread win. Charade with a bodykit, nuff said.

Or maybe the epic fail is that there is no picture, as my phones internal memory formatted itself.

Ahah, salvaged from an MMS, albeit low quality.

Have any fellow Geelongites spotted/know of the electric blue ZL Fairlane overlander-inspired thing I saw getting around tonight? It's a very tatty looking ZL that has been resprayed in that bright B-series blue, not shockwave I think, the lighter one. I dunno if it belongs to a forum member..but not too sure if it was a win or a fail. Massive, massive 4WD tyres that barely cleared the wheel arches, massively tall ride height, badges from all sorts of different Fords, sounded like a V8 conversion, and one ZL and one XF tail light. Would be a beast if tidied up.
