My question for the moment is where does the starter relay go , which one is it ? & are there 2 . What else could I do to give me a good chance of hearing that motor when I turn the key ? Besides top up all the fluids & reprogram the bem I know that will be a Pia . All advic gratefully recieved

Hello from Adelaide, will be buying a new Ranger XLT very soon, just waiting on a price from a broker to compare with a very reasonable price from local dealer. Looking forward to getting some helpful advice from here and maybe even contributing from time to time.

Hi everybody, I purchased a second hand 2007 Territory and i'm finding this forum to be priceless.. Like most people I have a bunch of problems with this vehicle that I hope to get sorted. To be honest I have never bought a second hand car with so many problems as this territory has :(

I've brought a 2007 ford ranger after 27 years of 2 w drive twin cab Toyotas.
11900 km on the ranger, my last toymoto is still going with 465000km.
I'm sure it will go the distance my mates ranger has 395000 and is used commercially.

Hi everyone - finally got round to registering after a bit of lurking. Proud owner of au 1 Fairmont wagon. Bought it new in dec 1999 and she's still going - 342,000ks. Motors fine, had a reco auto about 280k otherwise just the usual stuff that wears out.

I have just rejoined this Group, because I have once again purchased 'The Identical Twin' (which was also manufactured in the same month and year) AU3 SR May 2002 Falcon as for the previous one I had in exactly the same colour also which is shown in my Avetar.

I am happy to be here with you good people again, and I find it very usefull also to have at my hands the wealth of knowledge that is easily accessible and of great assistance for anyone with a passion for these vehicles and in working on them as well.

Hi Guys, Im Bernie. I just bought my first Ford since an old XB I had. It is a BF XR6 ute. Engine was cooked on number 2 so put in a new engine and sorting out some dents and the roof lining. It is toxic green and is surprisingly nice to drive. I use this site to learn the tech details of what I m sorting on any day I need to have a play. There are a few minor repairs to get it where I want it so I spend a bit of time flicking through your posts for info and knowledge.

Thought I should join the gang. Great site full of good info. Ford ownership began with XE six sedan, then '88 EA CFI plus aftermarket LPG (good car after it was sorted) followed by '97 EL Futura sedan, Tickford gas. 300,000+ km, hasn't had the head off, great car. Week ago acquired 2016 TS Territory TDCi AWD. Kids reckon "Grand dad needs a safer car!" Feels and performs really good.

Looking forward to keeping up with what's new and enjoying what the young guys are up to.

G'day all, I'm Phill from Launceston. Glad to be admitted to the site. I have recently bought a 2003 BA Futura and am in the process of fixing minor faults. Car has done 109000ks and really drives like new. I have repaired faulty drivers door lock, retinted rear window, replaced the spark plugs and relined the roof. The rubber around the windows is a bit tatty, faded, splotched etc. Any thoughts on the best way to clean them up?

For the window rubbers, give it a coat of Turtle Wax Black Trim Detailer (it's a special black acrylic paint not a wax).... Then follow up with Aerospace 303 protectant over the top... They will look brand new again.
Both products are available from Supercheap Auto.

Hi. I'm Vas and glad to be admitted to this forum. I own a 2016 Territory ts diesel rwd auto and interested in after market or suitable transmission oil pan with oil sump plug and extension dipstick that can be reached in the engine bay.

Hi iv got a au series 3 xr6vct iv got a question if somone can help it's driving me crazy my radiator when I top it up to almost full the coolant bottle when I go outside next day I can see that it has been leaking or dripping not sure and stops when the bottle when coolant is just above add iv noticed if I don't fill it up it doesn't seem to poor out the bottom or leak can't seem to catch it at the time it starts leaking from the bottom right standing in front of bonnet don't know if it is a overflow or what's happening only when I fill the plastic coolant bottle to the level realy got me spesaly it's staring to get hotter how can that be if I leave it seems not to discharge coolant.much apresiate it going bonkers 😦

My esky was rescued from certain death rotting in a paddock. Cancer has taken the floor, boot well and lower sills but surprisingly enough the rest is not bad. I’ve found replacement panels in the UK but had trouble with finding parts in Australia.

My first issue is the car has no compliance plate, I scratched around and found the chassis number under the paint but every decoding tool I find gives incomplete results. Is there any MK1 escort gurus here that could help?

It has no motor so I’m in the dark. Only tell tale features I can pick out easily is GT badging on the front guards and chrome rear bumper and chrome front bumperettes and a single drivers side fibreglass or plastic aerodynamic looking wing mirror.
