A friend dropped off some Krispy Kremes yesterday, honestnever had them before in my life. Still, donuts equal “feel good food”. I thought of the Wiz as I ate a pink one.

I'll celebrate your decision with a pink one from BB.

Yeah tend to agree. Local bakeries are the best.

The NZD to AUD exchange rate was good to us today, 9 cents difference at the mo. Either our South Pacific Peso is rising, or sadly yours is heading south.

Passed 1000km's on the odo of my car and just like that, i now have full boost (14psi)and a vehicle capable of speeds i am not gonna mention on a public forum.
And i have no doubt this is a low 4 sec 0-100kph car manually shifting at 5500rpm instead of the redline.

I have asked the question everywhere about certain characteristics of this car and particularly the run in procedure and possible hobbling of the ecu by KIA but this morning i found out for myself

Cannot wait for my NEW ecu to get here...

Yesterday.
Petrol was cheap Tuesday, put 50 litres in the XC because I want to go to a car show Saturday.
Went in to pay and the young woman behind the counter says,
"That beautiful car on pump 7"
"Thankyou, yes need some fuel for a car show Saturday I'm going to"
"I'm working Saturday, can you come through again?"

Its a worry when they show more interest in your car than they show you

Enrolled for a free TAFE short course today. 12 week program, run online, 3 and half hours per session.

The resultant qualification is nothing significant but may just be the first stepping stone to the new chapter of my life.

Yes......I know the feeling well.

When I drive the XR8 along the beach front on a sunny day, the car gets lots of second looks from young woman. The trouble is, when they notice the old bloke driving it, I only see a look of disappointment on their faces.

Oh well, such is life.

Unfortunately not. The timing is not right for me and not likely to be for the next couple of years. This is an interim step that might allow me to make a mid-life career change. An opportunity that initially came cloaked as a pretty major hiccup.

I put my car in for a service and I was waiting for the call to say you need to replace this or that but nothing! Just a standard service which is always good.

It is 20 years old next month daily driven and flogged with original engine, gearbox and clutch so I always get nervous

The plan is hopefully get it to around 300,000km and one more set of tyres before buying another car for my 40th

Was looking for a cheap and rough bumper to keep the Commodore repair legal while I prep and paint the correct one.

Found a genuine SSV front bar with fogs and harness, never been crashed, repaired or oversprayed, $100. It needs a refresh at this time in its life but I’m confident of onselling it when no longer needed; should even come close to a profit. It’s like finding a tidy B-series XR front bar for $100, doesn’t often happen.
