Ok this is most likely the last version I'll attempt of the G6ET. Sorry for cluttering. Might try a shot at the back end of it next.

I am inclined to wait for a 2015 complianced one but I am still excited to see the finished product and see all the details including pricing and colour availability.

That little angled part would be on the same plane as the camera so it wouldn't be seen. The lower grille would need to be lengthened too to match

I'm surprised how well the new front end blends with the FG sides on your picture. |

Ford aus released a full rear tail light photo today of the FH. Resembles the jaguar XF like in the teaser photoshops we've seen. Check the facebook page!

rear taillight looks like a cross between Jag XF and a Toyota Aurion.
Not a bad thing either.

IIRC roof brace to help pass side impact crashes without needing curtain airbags was the reason...who remembers that carry-on in the early days of FG? I think the better quality aftermarket units use their own brace as part of the sunroof frame to provide the same strength when they remove the original piece.

Tail light design looks awesome, this i a big change from having the tail lights mounted outboard. It will be the first Falcon of the new Generation (EA On) to have the lights running into the boot lid. Looks to be the best looking Falcon Yet

If counting fairlane NC/NF/NL, nothing new here. NF/NL even sported high mount LED stoplights. Guess ford could reuse these for the last falcon and it wouldnt look out of place.

Not quite. The G6ET has a fully electric 8-way driver seat. Chrome-ish external finish in grilles/window liner/boot thingy and no rear wing. Also has option of cashmere colored interior (best color by far, charcoal interiors suck *** and have been linked with shrivelled *** cheeks, yucky!). Also has more modest exterior color palette. Also has no LSDiff. Also has an overhead sunglasses holder thingy.
Shame u cant option up the G6E to get the full elec seat coz I just want the EcoBoost. |

Thinking that might be fgpsi's point, moreso the exterior differences. I took it to mean he wanted to see similar to the G6E but with bulge and maybe other '8' specific cues???

I see what you're saying but we're not getting a G8E
The way modern cars are these days though, there's not much difference in the spec levels between say a fully optioned XR8 and say a hypothetical "G8E". Gone are the days where there were clear differences between the levels. e.g. in the era of the XF, there was no mistaking the interior of an S-Pac and a Ghia. Completely different. These days with the fascination of black plastic everywhere, I just don't see the difference in 'luxury' that there previously was in years gone by. I'm probably not explaining myself very well but anyway lol.

Nf/nl would have to be my favourite rear end so seeing the tail lights on the new falcon is getting me excited.

So it would seem the flat(top) section of the boot hasn't changed? I hope not because the first thing im doing is whacking on a GT boot spoiler!

It'll depend if the spoiler changes design. Would mean the holes might not match up = no GT spoiler on XR...

The rear end looks to be very similar to what has been released on facebook.

Hey does that boot have a bit of a "lip" to it? If so that would be nice, much like the current Audi A4 which is a hot looking car.

Except some of prefer the look of the G6E with the power of the next XR8, I like the wolf in sheep clothing analogy...I will never forget the look on a VE SS driver's face when he thought he was going to pass me on the inside at a freeway onramp when I owned a G6ET.
